One of the biggest mistakes I made early on was thinking more trades meant more profits. It took me way too long to realize risk management is the real edge. Picked that up from Owen Moshey.

This reminds me of something I heard a while back: good traders focus on protecting capital first and making money second. Most people learn that lesson the hard way.

Reviewing the institutional framework on the cash index as we kick off the third quarter near the 7512 liquidity axis. The index completed a powerful two day positioning sequence to close out June at 7499, marking a historic 14.8 percent quarterly advance driven by heavy rebalancing.

On the other hand, the macro bears are pointing out that we still face a lot of crosscurrents, like the central bank keeping rate hikes on the table for later this year and some nervous corporate reports dropping soon. Where are you guys leaning for the rest of July? Are you chasing this breakout past 7500 or waiting for a pull back? Let me know your thesis.

We have a massive tug of war playing out at the start of the second half of the year today, with the index fluctuating right around the 7512 level after a huge quarterly close. On one hand, the tech bulls are completely back in control with semiconductor stocks leading a massive charge, especially after the latest infrastructure spending forecasts.

A lot of my biggest trading improvements came after I started following Him perspective on risk. Wish I had found that earlier.
