The Cisco/NVIDIA news around AI infrastructure is bigger than it looks. AI infrastructure is running into real constraints on power and heat, and liquid cooling is quickly becoming the answer.

Cisco just expanded its Secure AI Factory with NVIDIA through a partnership with Supermicro, combining Cisco networking with SMCI's high-density liquid-cooled GPU servers for NVIDIA's next-generation Vera Rubin NVL72 and HGX Rubin NVL8 platforms.

TrendForce expects AI-chip liquid-cooling penetration to move from 33% in 2025 to 53% in 2026 and 60% in 2027. That matters because Supermicro has been pushing rack-scale liquid cooling aggressively while AI racks become hotter, denser, and more power hungry.

The ecosystem being built: $NVIDIA(NVDA)$  for next-gen AI compute, $Cisco(CSCO)$  for networking and AI infrastructure, $SUPER MICRO COMPUTER INC(SMCI)$  for rack-scale servers and liquid cooling, and $Advanced Micro Devices(AMD)$  / $Alphabet(GOOG)$  with increasingly powerful processors accelerating the same cooling transition.

This isn't just about selling servers anymore. The industry is redesigning the entire AI rack around compute, networking, power, and cooling, and $SUPER MICRO COMPUTER INC(SMCI)$  is sitting directly in the middle of that transition.

The market keeps treating Supermicro like an ordinary server company while Cisco and NVIDIA are integrating its technology into next-generation AI infrastructure. Liquid cooling is moving from optional to essential, and SMCI already has a seat at the table. The AI infrastructure buildout is far from finished.
