$Alibaba(BABA)$ Huge insider buying at BABA. CEO Eddie Wu purchased 350,000 Hong Kong-listed Alibaba shares for approximately $5.1M. Chairman Joe Tsai bought 720,000 shares on Aug. 24 for roughly $10.3M, then added another 720,000 shares on Aug. 25 for approximately $10.2M. Combined, Tsai and Wu bought more than $25M worth of Alibaba stock in just two days. Alibaba founder Jack Ma also added more than $77 million of Alibaba shares, according to multiple reports, though those purchases were reported through sources rather than exchange filings. These purchases came right after Alibaba announced a $10.2B share placement to fund its aggressive AI expansion. The financing initially pressured the stock on dilution concerns, but management responded by buying shares with their own money.
