A close friend asked me back in 2020 what I thought were the strongest businesses in public markets at the time. They had been in $Amazon.com(AMZN)$ and were always looking for the next thing. I remember saying that $Alphabet(GOOG)$ still seemed like one of the most powerful forces out there. Looking back now in 2026, I like to think I helped them out. People tend to lump $Apple(AAPL)$ , $Alphabet(GOOG)$ , $Amazon.com(AMZN)$ , and $Microsoft(MSFT)$ into the same group, but these are very different animals.
