LPT: How to manipulate the stock market.

There might be more ways to do it than this, but I found this one on accident and it's very easy.If you turn off "unlimited oil and ore" it will cause the industry value to plummet, allowing you to buy stock in oil and ore at a low price. Turning it back on will raise the value again, at which point you can sell, rinse, and repeat. It's not the most lucrative exploit but it's kind of fun to buy cheap stock and dump it off at its peak.Any other ways to manipulate the stock market? $S&P 500(.SPX)$ $WTI Crude Oil - main 2311(CLmain)$ Hedge funds close up shop after meme stock traders win out

"The Trader's Psychological Trap: Why Some Refuse to Cut Losses"

Some traders find themselves caught in a destructive cycle when a trade goes unfavorably right from the start. Instead of cutting their losses quickly, they refuse to do so, hoping to minimize their losses. As the price continues to move against them, increasing their losses, they persist in not exiting the position, even when an opportunity to reduce losses presents itself. They hope for a market reversal that would allow them to exit with fewer losses. $S&P 500(.SPX)$ $NASDAQ(.IXIC)$ Loss run As their losses worsen, these traders become reluctant to accept the reality of the situation and to implement a stop loss to limit their losses. They prefer to let the losses accumulate, still hoping for a ma

Is A Recession Coming?--- The Biggest Concerns For Metal Investors In 2023

One of the biggest concerns for metals investors is whether we are in a recession recently, how long it will last and how investors should react when it comes. After all, Jack Welch, former chairman and CEO of General Electric, once said, "Never miss an opportunity like a recession."Which Stocks Perform Well After a Recession?Once the economy entering the recovery phase and consumer confidence growing, the best-performing stocks in the market tend to be associated with sectors like technology, finance, consumer goods, industrials, materials and energy. According to a Royal Bank of Canada research report, the consumer (i.e., automobiles and appliances), materials and industrial sectors are often referred to cyclical industries because they are so closely tied to the fortunes

AMC: Short-term Pain But Long Profits

$AMC Entertainment(AMC)$ Obviously, AMC cannot offer stocks at this low-price range. I believe they will wait till October to do so.Today's low of $10.72, so far, represents the equivalent of the lowest of AMC before the conversion. However, APE's lowest was 65cents. I will start looking around $6.5 for huge short squeeze. Shorts may run it down to $5. Regardless of what the bottom would be, once it hit the bottom it will squeeze the shorts to $25 ~ $30 range. Then AMC can issue stocks around $15 and get rid of the debt once and for all.As I said before $Bed Bath & Beyond(BBBY)$ had no intrinsic value whatsoever except its inventory. $GameStop(GME)$ is only sur

Trying To Lie Flat But Be Anxious! How To Achieve Financial Freedom By The Compounding Effect?

What should we invest in to get long-term gains to improve our lives?Sometimes being able to lie flat (means reject Rat Race) is really a smart way to invest! In 2007, “the god of stocks” Warren Buffett initiated a ten-year bet that any combination of funds chosen by hedge fund managers would not exceed the return of the S&P 500 index fund for ten years.Ten years later, the bet ended up with the S&P 500 rising a total of 125.8% from 2008 to 2017, an average of 8.5% per year. Comparatively, the best performers among hedge funds had a total return of 87%, an average annual gain of 6.5%; the worst performer had a total return of just 21.7% and a 2% annual return. Therefore, Buffett was right and the S&P 500 was the last winner. And f

Now, at 6,293, it took just 2 more months to achieve slightly better than 50% YOY improvement. In just 2 more months, it will be 100% YOY. With the final 3 months of the year, it is very plausible that this margin will grow to 200% YOY. MARA will mine over 12,000 coin this year. The hodl should be around 16k coin. If bitcoin is around 30k, that's $480m in the value of the coin alone. I think it's easy to see what happens as bitcoin appreciates. No other miner is currently mining over 1k per month and increasing hodl. There is simply no better choice.

AI investment – A boom or hype?

AI investment – A boom or hype?Money is thrown at companies that have neither earnings nor an innovative product nor the right expertise. For example, French startup Mistral AI didn’t have a working product when it raised €105 million ($118 million) in one of Europe’s largest-ever seed rounds last month. Some investors and people in the industry are worried the funding frenzy is turning into a bubble. The realisation of AI potential -The release of ChatGPT to the public in November was the catalyst for the current buzz, since then there is an increasing number of founders mention generative AI in their pitches for funding. The release of ChatGPT, combined with Microsoft’s blockbuster investment in OpenAI, caused “generalist investors to suddenly wake up” to AI’s extraordinary potential. It

Timing the Market

To understand “Qantamental” investment approach, we first have to understand the quant and qualitative approach:• Quantitative approaches or Quant, often employed by quants, have the advantage of being data-driven and objective. They can process large amounts of information quickly, identify patterns, and execute trades with precision. Quantitative models can be backtested to assess their historical performance and refined based on empirical data. However, they may be limited by the assumptions and constraints of the models, and their performance can be affected by sudden market shifts or events that were not adequately captured in the data.• Qualitative approaches, on the other hand, emphasize subjective analysis and qualitative factors. Tip 1: Deciding on a Trading Style That Fits You! Daytrading This is the trading form that beginners tend to focus on the most. Swing Trading Swing trading is a more slow-paced trading form where you hold on to your positions for one day to a few weeks at most. In other words, a swing trader attempts to catch the short to medium-term price swings. For beginners, swing trading is the ultimate trading form since it takes very little time and can be executed even by those who have a full-time job, while still having great profit potential. Position Trading This is a trading form that’s even slower than swing trading. A typical position trader holds his positions from a couple of weeks, up to several months or even years. This means that they’re attempting to catch the really long trends in th

Questions on when to Buy, Sell, Or Hold a Stock

Buy. Sell. Hold. Buying and selling stocks can sound exciting, complicated, and confusing all at once. But it doesn’t have to be. The first step to understanding when to buy and sell stocks is knowing how a stock market or stock exchange works. The first thing to know: There isn’t just one stock market—there are many stock exchanges and markets worldwide through which people buy and sell stocks, or shares of a company. Stock markets or exchanges consist of lots of people buying and selling at different prices because they all have different ideas about those stocks’ value. One investor might think a stock will go up, while another thinks it’s going to go down. So who’s right about when to buy stocks? Quality references the actual apartment unit and building itself. Is it new, clean, or spacious? Does it have new appliances? What’s the square footage? etc.Everyone’s price rang
