$Intel(INTC)$  🔌 Apple Cuts Intel Off — Can $INTC Still Hold the $20 Line?

💥 It's official: macOS will drop Intel chip support entirely by 2026, closing the final chapter of a 20-year partnership. This isn’t a surprise — Apple has been transitioning to its M-series chips since 2020 — but the confirmation still stings.

📉 Intel's stock is hovering around $20.60, with bears circling. Is this just another headline hit, or the final blow to investor confidence in Intel's comeback story?

🧠 What This Means (And What It Doesn’t)

❌ Don't overreact:

Apple Macs made up a small fraction of Intel's revenue — low single-digit % at most. The loss is more symbolic than material.

✔️ Real issue:

The bigger risk is the optics — another premium partner walks away, and Intel’s tech leadership narrative takes another dent.

⚠️ Intel now needs to prove two things FAST:

1. That its foundry pivot is real — with clients that aren't just Intel

2. That it can win next-gen PC design wins outside of Apple's ecosystem

🔍 Trade View

📊 Key support level: $20 is psychological + technical support

🛡️ Holding long? Watch for weekly closes below $19.50 — that would invalidate the base and open downside to $17–$18

📈 Looking to enter? Wait for volume-backed bounce from $20–$20.30 zone.

🤔 What I'm Doing:

• Already holding from $19. Trimmed into strength last week

• Will add back only if we see strong buyer defense near $20

• Watching closely for FCF + margin outlook next earnings

Intel Beats Sales! Above $40, Smooth Sailing Ahead?

the smartest thing Intel did was cut the dividend. Most companies wait too long. when they bring it back, if they do, it will be at $70 or more.

Totally agree—cutting the dividend was tough but arguably a disciplined capital allocation move. Intel needed to conserve cash while ramping its foundry buildout and catching up on process nodes.

Will this take down INTC, more than other chips, with the perils of having fab on War Zone???

    • WeChats
Great point. Apple's decision definitely compounds the pressure on INTC—especially at a time when it's already facing margin stress and capex strain from its foundry expansion.the symbolic hit to reputation and the long-term revenue leakage are real concerns.
