Roblox $RBLX slid as much -7% after overnight platform outages combined with a TD Cowen PT cut to $70 from $77! Analyst Doug Creutz flagged a 52% drop in engagement for top games and lowered FY bookings to $8.09B.

$RBLX is going to continue to have wild swings in valuation. it was not that long ago that Morgan Stanley had $10 x $55 RR based on 2024 numbers, then they came out and said it was on a path to $300.

    The fundamentals of RBLX is negative from my recent reads on how many ppl are flagging the platform for creepy people using it to contact kids and then the platform has a major outage. I wonder how long would it last...

      From a fundamentals standpoint I see three distinct vectors:

      Third the broader market’s valuation appetite for growth at scale. If this sector reprices around growth quality and risk management then Roblox suffers with other comms services and social ecosystem peers. But that is valuation context, not an outright collapse of the business model.

      Safety issues are material but Roblox has been investing in moderation tech and partner protocols. Problems get attention precisely because the business is big and visible.

      I appreciate the concern about safety issues and the outage, I take this seriously because platform quality ultimately feeds into fundamentals. What I think is important to separate is operational headwinds versus structural growth drivers.

      If the latter holds or expands, the fundamental narrative is still intact even with episodic operational setbacks.
