For me, the biggest expectation is seeing how Greg Abel manages $Berkshire Hathaway(BRK.A)$ $Berkshire Hathaway(BRK.B)$ Berkshire’s huge capital base without losing the discipline that built the company. With around $365 billion in cash and Treasuries, capital allocation will be one of the key things I watch.

My biggest concern is whether Berkshire can maintain the same level of shareholder trust without Warren Buffett making the major decisions. Abel’s recent moves give us some early clues, but the real test will be how consistently he allocates capital through different market cycles.

Personally, I still see Berkshire as a long-term compounder rather than simply a “Buffett stock.” I will be watching execution, capital allocation and cultural continuity rather than expecting the new leadership to replicate Warren’s past performance.

The core test is whether Abel can deploy that cash pile above Treasury returns without loosening Berkshire's discipline. The next real tell is what he does in the next broad downturn.
