2024 was a light bulb moment for me. Light bulb💡 in the sense of, what plans do I have for saving & or investing going forward as I was not really focused as those goals & outcomes were not in plac until I had this awakening. Mid year 2024 my goals & outcomes were established mentally with such conviction that the plan was placed into action. 1.Research, I mean research everything you can on a particular Business including its CEO & the financials. 2.Diversification, this is your hedging including speculative stocks that could potentially provide you with that 100 Bagger, just don't be reckless , there is a fine line. 3.Long term investor or Trader, decide & stick to the plan. 4.Research the flatforms you intend using for your investments, Tiger Trade platform & a c

Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company Limited; TSM (TSMC) is the world's largest semiconductor foundry and contract manufacturer. TSMC's consumers include Apple, AMD and Nivida, to name a few. In view of the emerging artificial intelligence boom, it has thrust TSMC to an even higher level of semiconductor businesses. Latest expansion of TSMC includes the $40 billion investment in Phoenix, Arizona to build two advance semiconductor manufacturing fabrication facilities. Plans have been made for the 3rd Fab. I first bought TMSC shares in Jul 2024 at abt $182. And continue to buy some shares when it dips to abt $168. On average, my overall purchase is abt $186/share. Investment seems late as TSMC has rally from early 2024 (~$100). However, I have decided to maintain it for the longer term

Replying to @koolgal:merry Xmas//@koolgal:🌟🌟🌟2024 has been an amazing year for me with the STI ETF hitting a 17 year high and the US markets led by the Magnificent 7 hitting new records too.  My Singapore Bank stocks also hit new highs this year with $DBS Group Holdings(D05.SI)$  leading the charge and reaching SGD 44.95.  DBS is also my best performing Singapore stock.  However Jerome Powell threw a wrench into the markets  on Thursday indicating that there will be fewer interest rate cuts in 2025, sending the markets into a nosedive.  Nevertheless I will continue to stay

TENACITY Family has fallen sick too crazily often this yr. Like >10 times of upper respiratory tract infections per family member this yr. Too many episodes of high fevers, hospitalisations, hospital visits, unexplained erratic medical reports, MCs & absence from sch. It's my first high fever in 7 yrs; & the 1st time my kids were down with fevers of 40-42 deg. Nevertheless, my kiddos have done excellently well in their academic, sports & musical pursuits. Investment wise, it has been a roller coaster ride; but who am I to complain if my portfolio is still much better than when I first started? I may not have much time to spend on TB as often as last yr due to all the curveballs being thrown at us, but generally, my portfolio is going up (though the ror on my page reflects an

2024 has been a year of significant success year for me. Professionally, I embarked on frequent business trips to Taiwan, spending at least two weeks per quarter in the country. While these trips involved a considerable time commitment, they provided valuable professional opportunities. Closer to home, I undertook a minor renovation of my house. While the process inevitably brought with it some headaches, the end result is a beautiful and functional home, love the newly renovated wardrobe. 2024 Investment Review My successful investment was $Palantir Technologies Inc.(PLTR)$ , gaining almost 200% mainly from better than expected result and raiding the IA wave sentiment. Regrettably I sold it off before its peak at $50 losing off by at least $20 per stock, with the rest of my regrets not capturing more at its lowest ever when it hovers around $5. Tough lesson to chew on... Don't follow what Market sentiments, news, write up from any source. My 2024 keyword is "Learn". I only started trading 4 months ago. My start was a bit rocky, with a 35% dip to welcome me to the trading world. My initial choices weren't the wisest. But in those for months, I have been able to lift my portfolio to a 50% gain (3 months to be exact). This gain I put down to, better choices, removing emotion, having patience, and a very supportive, engaging Tiger Community. My keyword for 2025 is "Success". Success in being able to improve on all I have learnt so far, growing my portfolio and learning more. I also want to be successful in being an engaging and helpful Tiger community member. For me, it is “Patience”…Waiting for the rock bottom price to buy SG stocks. I queue the stock for almost a month. Using TA and “When you believe” [Bless]from Prince of Egypt, my dream comes true. A day before my GTD expired, I got my rock bottom price and I m the 2nd in queue.I was in cloud 9.😍🥰 I was also allocated 65% of my overly subscribed perferential $Keppel DC Reit(AJBU.SI)$. In my investment journey, I've been continuing to DCA into my ETFs especially into $SPDR Portfolio S&P 500 ETF(SPLG)$ (apart from a few others) which I came across in a @koolgal 's article quite awhile ago. No crazy win yet but overall it's still pretty green so all's well. Pretty thankful [Salute] for that else I'd never be able to invest into the S&P 500 due to those high entry costs of SPY and VOO.
