Do You Usually Visit Malaysia on Weekends?

Singapore has long been known for its higher cost of living compared to Malaysia, as well as its higher salaries. Many Malaysians work in Singapore and return to Malaysia daily to save on living and dining expenses.

Support local pls. As a Singaporean,  we can occasionally visit JB to enjoy the foods and shopping. But do support our local pls. I stayed so near to JB but I hardly really visit JB every month. Take example HK, since China made it so easy to travel from HK to Shen Zheng, the local  retail and restaurants suffered very badly.

$ThaiBev(Y92.SI)$  The recent disappearance and subsequent discovery of Chinese actor Wang Xin near the Myanmar border, where online scam networks operate, has raised concerns about the safety of tourists in Thailand, particularly those from China.   While the Wang Xin case is an isolated incident, it has highlighted the potential risks associated with human trafficking and online scams in the region. This has led to increased anxiety among some Chinese tourists who are now wary of traveling to Thailand for fear of falling victim to similar schemes.   The Wang Xin case has undoubtedly created some apprehension among Chinese tourists. However, it's crucial to remember that Thailand has a robust tourism inf

Many Malaysians choose to work in Singapore while living in Malaysia due to a combination of economic and practical reasons. Here are some of the key factors: 1. Higher Salaries in Singapore: Singapore offers significantly higher wages compared to Malaysia, even for similar jobs. The currency exchange rate (Singapore Dollar vs. Malaysian Ringgit) further amplifies this benefit. 2. Lower Cost of Living in Malaysia: Housing, food, and daily expenses are generally much cheaper in Malaysia, especially in border towns like Johor Bahru. This allows workers to save more by earning in Singapore but spending in Malaysia. 3. Proximity: Many Malaysians live in Johor Bahru, which is just across the border from Singapore. The relatively short commuting distance (via the Johor-Singapore Causeway or Seco

For many Singaporeans, traveling to Malaysia, particularly on weekends, can be an affordable and enjoyable option. The cost of travel can vary depending on the mode of transportation. Buses are often a budget-friendly choice, with fares being quite economical. Trains and cars are also popular options, with some preferring to drive due to flexibility and convenience. For accommodation, Malaysia offers a wide range of options, from budget-friendly hotels to more luxurious choices. Generally, living and dining expenses in Malaysia are lower than in Singapore, making it a favorable weekend getaway for Singaporeans looking for a more economical experience. The weekend influx of travelers often leads to congestion at popular border points, so it's also a factor to consider when planning such tri

Yes. For better and cheaper stuff
Yes sometimes I'll go Malaysia during the weekend as for a short trip for food and a relax massage. Inflation in Singapore is high. Spending Malaysia Ringgit is much more affordable. Especially is near Chinese New Year. Shipping for CNY goodies and grocery is a bonus. 😉
If you want to spend for hair, colour, perm, treatment, etc yes definitely cheaper for manicure quality not as good as in Singapore. However the total money spent is not lower because go to JB start yr morning with dimsum, then lunch at restaurant there, like arashi hotpot or roasted duck at KSL, shopping at the malls there, coffee time at oriental coffee, a night at Airbnb, supper nearby airbnb nasi bryani, lok lok, breakfast near Airbnb, lunch then proceed to go home in Singapore. JB, Melaka, KL is a weekend trip 😁 everyweek is not recommended unless can go during the weekdays.

It is good to visit Malaysia every week to load up on groceries and petrol. Prices of everything in Malaysia are cheaper than Singapore. These include furniture and all things for the households. Strongly recommend Malaysia! 💪🏼 Thanks @Tiger_SG @icycrystal @GoodLife99

Do You Usually Visit Malaysia on Weekends?

I do not currently visit Malaysia on weekends because I am very busy and have very limited free time nowadays. However, Malaysia is a country that I would love to visit in the future if I get the chance. There are numerous reasons why it stands out as a desirable destination. It is a vibrant country with a mix of modernity and tradition, offering something for every type of traveler. Here are some reasons why Malaysia appeals to me and why I hope to explore it when time allows. 1. Delicious and Affordable Food Malaysia is renowned for its diverse and flavorful cuisine, reflecting the country's multicultural heritage. The food culture in Malaysia is incredibly vibrant, with influences from Malay, Chinese, Indian, and indigenous traditions. This variety results in a culinary experience that

As a Malaysian living in Singapore, I usually visit Johor Bahru every few months. With the favorable currency exchange, expenses in Johor are much cheaper for someone working in Singapore. For instance, clothes, shoes, and supplements are significantly more affordable there compared to Singapore, making the trip worthwhile. A good pair of shoes or clothing costs much less in Johor, and health supplements are also cheaper. While prices in Johor have increased in recent years, the cost difference is still noticeable for someone living and working in Singapore. However, for local residents, the price in Johor is definitely considered quite expensive and burdening, especially when you earn MYR there. The trip also allows me to enjoy local food at a lower cost, which adds to the overall savings
