Wayfair was a market darling when we were hunkering down at the start of the pandemic. We were going to spend a lot of time at home, so we were turning to the online retailer of furniture and other home essentials to get as comfortable as possible. A lot of folks also moved to the suburbs to get more bang for their real estate buck, and those new digs needed new pieces of furniture to make the house a home.</p><p>It&#39;s a whole new world for Wayfair. Revenue growth has been negative for four consecutive quarters. The bottom line is getting worse. In just the last three months we&#39;ve seen Wall Street estimates for losses more than double for 2022 and almost quadruple come next year. The new shift to enter physical retail won&#39;t be cheap. With sales expected to decline this year and profitability nowhere in sight it&#39;s hard to get excited about Wayfair despite its brand awareness and cool digital tools like letting shoppers use augmented reality to see what a potential purchase would look like in their actual room. Wayfair reports quarterly results on Thursday morning. The market&#39;s already bracing for a bad report, but sometimes that&#39;s not enough.</p><h2><b>TrueCar</b></h2><p>The online lead generator for auto showrooms has been up on blocks lately. Revenue is going the wrong way. Losses are mounting. It has posted larger-than-expected deficits in back-to-back quarters. Analyst forecasts for red ink continue to grow. It&#39;s against this uninspiring backdrop that TrueCar reports its second-quarter financial results on Tuesday afternoon.</p><p>TrueCar has run into a few speed bumps over the years. It has had to tweak its original shopper-friendly model to appeal to both buyers and showroom dealers, and that&#39;s a delicate balance. This is also a rough time to be selling vehicles with high gas prices and lean inventory for the hotter cars. The stock has shed nearly 90% of its value since peaking eight years ago, and it&#39;s hard to say that it isn&#39;t a lemon these days.</p><h2><b>Tesla Motors</b></h2><p>This is the third week in a row that Tesla Motors makes the cut. I was wrong the last two weeks. Is the third time the charm or the harm? The stock has risen this month despite a far from perfect quarterly update and a whirlwind of controversies and distractions.</p><p>Tesla has outpaced the market the last two weeks as a high-beta stock on cruise control in a rising market. The stock&#39;s steep valuation seems immune to weakness in the general automotive market, and rising gas prices are naturally an incentive to go electric. After two weeks of big moves, I feel it&#39;s time for Tesla Motors to pull off the road and recharge. We&#39;ll see if I get burned again.</p><p>It&#39;s going to be a bumpy road for some of these investments. Buffett&#39;s conglomerate, <b>Berkshire</b> <b>Hathaway</b>, holds a 1.9% stake in Snowflake -- roughly 6.1 million shares, worth about $897 million.</p><p>It&#39;s not for the faint of heart, but Snowflake looks like a fantastic growth story for investors willing to buy and hold.</p><h2>Spotify</h2><p>Music and podcast streamer <b>Spotify</b> <b>Technology</b> is next on my list. Shares are off 72% from their all-time high but almost unchanged over the last two months.</p><p>Spotify appears to have weathered the Joe Rogan controversy, with some artists quietly allowing their music back on the platform.</p><p>What&#39;s more, Spotify CEO Daniel Ek bought more than $50 million worth of shares back in May. Clearly, Ek -- who should know -- thinks Spotify is a bargain right now.</p><h2>Twilio</h2><p><b>Twilio</b> operates a cloud-based customer engagement platform. Like so many growth stocks, the company has been crushed as fears of a recession mount and interest rates rise. Shares are down 81% from their all-time high set in early 2021.</p><p>Despite its recent decline, Wall Street still believes in the stock. As of June, 30 of the 34 sell-side analysts covering Twilio rated it as a buy or strong buy. Moreover, the average price target for the stock is $196 -- $100 above its current price.</p><p>While its share price remains volatile, the company appears well positioned to weather an upcoming recession. Buy-and-hold investors might use its price collapse as a buying opportunity.</p><h2>Snap</h2><p><b>Snap</b>, the parent company of the social media app Snapchat, is enduring a tough year. It&#39;s dealing with multiple challenges:</p><ul><li>The fallout of <b>Apple</b>&#39;s privacy policy changes.</li><li>Poor first-quarter earnings results.</li><li>A downward revision to its own second-quarter guidance -- delivered less than a month after first providing it.</li></ul><p>Unsurprisingly, the stock has fallen 83% from its all-time high. However, since mid-May, the stock is more or less unchanged. Investors may be ready to overlook this year&#39;s blunders since the company is growing revenue by 38% year over year. Long-term investors might want to use this recent weakness to load up for the future.</p><h2><b><a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/ZM\">Zoom</a></b></h2><p>Few stocks became more associated with the COVID-19 pandemic than <b>Zoom Video Communications</b>. At the start of 2020, many people had never heard of a Zoom meeting. Within months, they had become a feature of everyday life.</p><p>From March 2020 to its peak in October 2020, Zoom soared an astounding 450%. But since then, the stock has deflated, losing 83% of its peak value.</p><p>Yet the company&#39;s fundamentals remain strong. Total revenue in the most recent quarter was $1.07 billion -- up 12.2% year over year. Zoom is profitable and generated $1.3 billion of net income during the last 12 months.</p><p>Zoom isn&#39;t going away, even though its stock price might make you think so. Therefore, it is no surprise that since the growth meltdown began last year, Palantir has been one of the worst-hit stocks. The company experienced an epic drop of 80% from peak to trough, but the share price has begun to recover.</p><p><b>PLTR 1-Year</b></p><p><img src=\"https://static.tigerbbs.com/9de65d4b86e4ec1d262d3162399e05b7\" tg-width=\"640\" tg-height=\"676\" referrerpolicy=\"no-referrer\"/></p><p>PLTR (StockCharts.com)</p><p>Benjamin Graham may have said it best - &#34;In the short term, the market is a voting machine, but in the long run, it is a weighing machine.&#34; Mr. Graham was a brilliant investor, and the saying applies exceptionally well to Palantir, in my view. The market seemed crazy about Palantir when the stock was at $20 or $30, but is not fond of Palantir these days. The stock was severely diluted after its IPO, and the criticisms of stock-based compensation (&#34;SBC&#34;) continue today. Moreover, growth and high multiple stocks are not as popular as they were throughout most of 2021, and with a possible recession approaching, the market is voting &#34;No&#34; on Palantir.</p><p>However, let&#39;s weigh Palantir&#39;s stock instead of voting for it. Dilution and SBC compensation are common phenomena with IPOs, and Palantir is not an exception. Let&#39;s not look at past sales, but let us focus on the company&#39;s revenue growth and earning potential. Additionally, let&#39;s consider Palantir&#39;s unique, leading, and dominant market position and how it could impact future growth prospects and profitability potential. Moreover, Palantir&#39;s growth runway is massive, and its profitability potential is vast, making the stock possibly one of the best buys for the next decade.</p><p><b>Palantir - The Government&#39;s Favorite Contractor</b></p><p>One of Palantir&#39;s most unique facets is its dominant position as a government contractor. The company provides software solutions through its Gotham program to numerous government agencies. Some of Palantir&#39;s government clients include the U.S. military, intelligence, and police. More specifically, the FBI, DOD, CIA, NSA, and many other agencies use Palantir&#39;s linked databases,data mining solutions, analysis software, and much more. Furthermore, Palantir services the NHS, FDA, and other agencies. While Palantir is growing its corporate business aggressively, it still derived most of its revenues (54%) from government contracts last quarter. Advantageously, Palantir gets a substantial portion of its revenues from the government as the government is famous for its loose spending policies. Moreover, the company should continue growing government revenues, and even when a recession comes, the government will continue its spending.</p><p><b>It&#39;s All About Growth - For Now</b></p><p>I hear a lot of complaints that Palantir is not profitable, but Palantir does not need to be profitable. The company is growing at more than 30%.</p><p><img src=\"https://static.tigerbbs.com/86703bab0eb031120a21a04070660751\" tg-width=\"640\" tg-height=\"318\" referrerpolicy=\"no-referrer\"/></p><p>Q1 Highlights (investors.palantir.com)</p><p>Palantir&#39;s growth metrics are tremendous. 31% YoY revenue growth, 54% YoY commercial revenue growth, 136% YoY U.S. commercial revenue growth, and 86% YoY customer count growth. While the company&#39;s government business remains its anchor, we see Palantir growing its commercial business aggressively now. Moreover, we should continue seeing robust growth from the government and corporate clients as the company moves on. For full-year 2022, the company expects to show an adjusted operating margin of approximately 27% and anticipates providing30% annual growthor greater through 2025.</p><p><b>Be Patient - Profitability Will Come</b></p><p>Palantir is a high-growth company. Therefore, there is no need for it to be profitable right now. The company needs to focus on growing operations, increasing market share, and setting up future profitability potential. However, when it&#39;s time, Palantir should be exceptionally profitable.</p><p><b>Statement of Operations</b></p><p><img src=\"https://static.tigerbbs.com/c68e8a7494948e5f170dc64534d1921a\" tg-width=\"640\" tg-height=\"663\" referrerpolicy=\"no-referrer\"/></p><p>Statement of Operations (investors.palantir.com)</p><p>Last quarter, the company&#39;s gross profit increased by32% YoY. At the same time, Palantir&#39;s operating expenses increased by only 2.6% YoY. Therefore, the operating loss last quarter was much narrower than last year&#39;s, just $39.4 million vs. $114 million one year ago. Moreover, Palantir&#39;s gross margin came in at a whopping 78.6% the previous quarter, even higher than the 78.3% from one year ago. Thus, we see Palantir is growing increasingly profitable. As the company&#39;s gross profit continues to increase, it will start outweighing the company&#39;s operating expenses significantly, leading to substantial increases in operating income, net profit, and EPS.</p><p><b>Dilution - Not a Problem Anymore</b></p><p>We see that Palantir&#39;s share count rose by about 11% YoY. Therefore, Palantir is still diluting, but not nearly as much as it did when the company initially went public. Palantir went public with only about476 million shares. However, the company has more than 2 billion shares outstanding now. Yet, much of the dilation occurred early, essentially right after the company went public. Roughly six months after going public, the company already had nearly1.8 billion shares. Since then, SBC expenses have been declining significantly and are likely to continue falling as the company advances. Additionally, increased SBC is a common phenomenon with IPOs and is not a Palantir-isolated phenomenon.</p><p><b>SBS Expenses</b></p><p><img src=\"https://static.tigerbbs.com/5f9e8cbaa81a63e7986e0b033c550680\" tg-width=\"640\" tg-height=\"185\" referrerpolicy=\"no-referrer\"/></p><p>SBS Expenses (investors.palantir.com)</p><p>We see that, despite significantly higher revenues and income, SBC is down by about 23% YoY. This dynamic implies that the trend of lower SBC expenses should continue. Also, if we factor out the SBC expenses, we see that Palantir should become remarkably profitable. Minus SBC, the company&#39;s cost of revenue was only about<i>$82.8 million</i>, implying a gross margin of nearly 82% for Palantir. Minus SBC, Palantir&#39;s operating income would have been around<i>$110 million</i> last quarter, illustrating an operating margin of approximately 25%.</p><p>The company would have even recorded a small net income of about<i>$10 million</i> once SBC expenses are removed from the equation. The company reported an adjusted EPS of $0.02, illustrating that the company can be profitable right now, even while growing YoY revenues at more than 30%. Therefore, we see that Palantir has the potential to become increasingly prosperous. As the company&#39;s revenues and gross profit continue to rise, its operating expenses should increase modestly, and the SBC should continue declining significantly in proportion to the company&#39;s revenues. This anomaly cannot last much longer, especially since the Chinese tech crackdown is finally easing.</li><li>Alibaba is dirt cheap, trading less than 50 cents on the dollar, and the company has authorized the biggest buyback in its history. The market will eventually come to its senses.</li><li>Alibaba, as a brand, ranks in the top 10 list globally, surpassing the likes of McDonald&#39;s, Tesla and Coca-Cola.</li></ul><p>Alibaba (NYSE:BABA) (OTCPK:BABAF) has essentially given up all of its gains since its IPO in 2014. In other words, Alibaba has been &#39;dead money&#39; for almost a decade. However, unlike its share price, fundamentally, Alibaba has made remarkable progress on multiple fronts. Most notably, Alibaba has turned into a cash flow machine, with cash from operations increasing tenfold since its IPO, which in turn has led to a soaring cash balance, making the company cash rich.</p><p>The main reason why Alibaba has entered severely distressed territory is due to the crisis around Chinese tech companies; the so-called &#39;China&#39;s tech crackdown&#39;. The good news is that this crackdown seems to be easing. The first positive signs were reported last month and just yesterday Reuters reported that China&#39;s central bank has apparentlyacceptedAnt Group&#39;s application to set up a financial holding company, which is seen as a key step to revive Jack Ma&#39;s fintech business stock market debut. This created enthusiasm, with Alibaba&#39;s share price jumping as much as 10%. However, shortly thereafter, Alibaba pared its gains as Chinese state media denied the Reuters report that the PBOC accepted Ant&#39;s application. In any event, it seems that we are amidst a positive sentiment shift, after years of pain, and this is already starting to be reflected in Alibaba&#39;s share price. So far this year, the general market indices are in severe turmoil, but Alibaba is faring somewhat better. Specifically, on a YTD basis, Alibaba is down &#39;only&#39; ~14%, outperforming the major US indices, with the tech-heavy Nasdaq being by far the worst performer, down almost 31%.</p><p><img src=\"https://static.tigerbbs.com/e0aaaa8416a2f128caa44f636a83ce1a\" tg-width=\"635\" tg-height=\"467\" referrerpolicy=\"no-referrer\"/>Data by YCharts</p><p>Before we go into more detail to illustrate Alibaba&#39;s substantial progress since its IPO, it is important to note the following. Even though Alibaba has faced (and will likely continue to face) various macro and regulatory headwinds, it remains one of the world&#39;s leading brands. Based on data fromKantar BrandZ, Alibaba ranks in the top 10 list globally surpassing brands of the likes of McDonald&#39;s (MCD), Tesla (TSLA), Coca-Cola (KO) and NIKE (NKE). This is quite an achievement.</p><p><b>The World&#39;s Most Valuable Brands in 2021</b></p><p><img src=\"https://static.tigerbbs.com/76fab964f57c0f70c87f43d8ffe61974\" tg-width=\"640\" tg-height=\"324\" referrerpolicy=\"no-referrer\"/></p><p>Visual Capitalist</p><p>As per thelatest earnings release<i>,</i>Alibaba&#39;s financial performance remains impressive, despite reporting a single-digit increase in its fourth-quarter revenue, its slowest growth yet amid COVID-19 outbreaks. Revenue increased 9% as a result of lower demand due to COVID-19 outbreaks in March and logistics and supply chain disruptions at its core e-commerce platforms (Tmall and Taobao). That said, Alibaba’s sales growth still exceeded analyst estimates. Eventually, supply chain disruptions and COVID-19 lockdowns will ease and Alibaba&#39;s growth will accelerate.</p><p>Looking at the bigger picture, Alibaba is a much stronger company compared to its IPO days. Specifically, annual cash flow from operations surpassed the market $20 billion mark in 2018 and has remained above that level ever since.</p><p><b>Alibaba: Annual Cash Flow from Operations</b><img src=\"https://static.tigerbbs.com/afba1957e435da89228d501a1a15e39f\" tg-width=\"640\" tg-height=\"196\" referrerpolicy=\"no-referrer\"/></p><p>Seeking Alpha</p><p>Alibaba reached its peak annual cash flow from operations in 2021, surpassing $35 billion. I have little doubt that we will be breaking new records in the coming years, once things calm down a little. To put things into perspective, annual operating cash flow was just $2.3 billion in 2013. It is fair to say that the progress that has been made over the past decade is remarkable. What is also remarkable is the growing cash balance (i.e. Total Cash &amp; Short Term Investments), which exceeds $70 billion, and is also hovering around record high levels.</p><p><b>Alibaba: Total Cash And Short Term Investments</b><img src=\"https://static.tigerbbs.com/07dcc29bc2e191b1f712e2af79a263ce\" tg-width=\"640\" tg-height=\"198\" referrerpolicy=\"no-referrer\"/></p><p>Seeking Alpha</p><p>To put things into perspective, the cash balance was only $5.4 billion in 2013 and, due to strong operating cash flow, it surpassed the $70 billion mark in 2021, and has remained above that level ever since. This is a really nice position to be in.</p><p>Despite outstanding overall progress since the IPO, including the above-mentioned impressive financial results, the market cap has fallen to below $300 billion, and is hovering around record low levels. Looking at it differently,<b>Alibaba&#39;s cash position now reflects ~25% of its market cap</b>. I don&#39;t believe this anomaly will last for too long, and investors who accumulate at today&#39;s depressed prices stand to benefit tremendously, once the dust settles. It is a matter of when, not if. That said, it doesn&#39;t mean that it will be a smooth ride going forward. Yes, Alibaba is like a coil spring, but it can most certainly drop further. After all, market sentiment is terrible right now, and for good reasons. High inflation, interest rate hikes, the war in Ukraine and supply chain disruptions are amongst the biggest factors contributing to the market turmoil. As a value investor, the sell off has not made Alibaba a riskier investment. In contrast, investors can now buy one dollar for even less, which in a way makes Alibaba less risky. Based on Alibaba&#39;s massive cash pile and strong ongoing cash flow generation, I estimate that Alibaba is currently trading well below 50 cents on the dollar. Also, as long as the share price remains flattish, the discount to fair value will widen even more, as the cash balance will keep on increasing, all else constant, therefore adding to Alibaba&#39;s wealth. Also, it is important to note that Alibaba is better diversified compared to its IPO days. Don&#39;t discount its 1 billion global active consumers (spread across many online brands), high-margin cloud business and growing brick-and-mortar empire. My bet is that, over the next decade, Alibaba will be a much bigger company and even more diversified. However, even if Alibaba doesn&#39;t grow at all, it still is cheap today. I always stress test my investments, trying to be as prudent as possible. This anomaly cannot last much longer, especially since the Chinese tech crackdown is finally easing.Alibaba is dirt cheap, trading less than 50 cents on the dollar, and the company has authorized the biggest buyback in its history. The market will eventually come to its senses.Alibaba, as a brand, ranks in the top 10 list globally, surpassing the likes of McDonald's, Tesla and Coca-Cola.Alibaba (NYSE:BABA) (OTCPK:BABAF) has essentially given up all of its gains since its IPO in 2014. In other words, Alibaba has been 'dead money' for almost a decade. However, unlike its share price, fundamentally, Alibaba has made remarkable progress on multiple fronts. Most notably, Alibaba has turned into a cash flow machine, with cash from operations increasing tenfold since its IPO, which in turn has led to a soaring cash balance, making the company cash rich.The main reason why Alibaba has entered severely distressed territory is due to the crisis around Chinese tech companies; the so-called 'China's tech crackdown'. The good news is that this crackdown seems to be easing. The first positive signs were reported last month and just yesterday Reuters reported that China's central bank has apparentlyacceptedAnt Group's application to set up a financial holding company, which is seen as a key step to revive Jack Ma's fintech business stock market debut. This created enthusiasm, with Alibaba's share price jumping as much as 10%. However, shortly thereafter, Alibaba pared its gains as Chinese state media denied the Reuters report that the PBOC accepted Ant's application. In any event, it seems that we are amidst a positive sentiment shift, after years of pain, and this is already starting to be reflected in Alibaba's share price. So far this year, the general market indices are in severe turmoil, but Alibaba is faring somewhat better. Specifically, on a YTD basis, Alibaba is down 'only' ~14%, outperforming the major US indices, with the tech-heavy Nasdaq being by far the worst performer, down almost 31%.Data by YChartsBefore we go into more detail to illustrate Alibaba's substantial progress since its IPO, it is important to note the following. Even though Alibaba has faced (and will likely continue to face) various macro and regulatory headwinds, it remains one of the world's leading brands. Based on data fromKantar BrandZ, Alibaba ranks in the top 10 list globally surpassing brands of the likes of McDonald's (MCD), Tesla (TSLA), Coca-Cola (KO) and NIKE (NKE). This is quite an achievement.The World's Most Valuable Brands in 2021Visual CapitalistAs per thelatest earnings release,Alibaba's financial performance remains impressive, despite reporting a single-digit increase in its fourth-quarter revenue, its slowest growth yet amid COVID-19 outbreaks. Revenue increased 9% as a result of lower demand due to COVID-19 outbreaks in March and logistics and supply chain disruptions at its core e-commerce platforms (Tmall and Taobao). That said, Alibaba’s sales growth still exceeded analyst estimates. Eventually, supply chain disruptions and COVID-19 lockdowns will ease and Alibaba's growth will accelerate.Looking at the bigger picture, Alibaba is a much stronger company compared to its IPO days. Specifically, annual cash flow from operations surpassed the market $20 billion mark in 2018 and has remained above that level ever since.Alibaba: Annual Cash Flow from OperationsSeeking AlphaAlibaba reached its peak annual cash flow from operations in 2021, surpassing $35 billion. I have little doubt that we will be breaking new records in the coming years, once things calm down a little. To put things into perspective, annual operating cash flow was just $2.3 billion in 2013. It is fair to say that the progress that has been made over the past decade is remarkable. What is also remarkable is the growing cash balance (i.e. Total Cash & Short Term Investments), which exceeds $70 billion, and is also hovering around record high levels.Alibaba: Total Cash And Short Term InvestmentsSeeking AlphaTo put things into perspective, the cash balance was only $5.4 billion in 2013 and, due to strong operating cash flow, it surpassed the $70 billion mark in 2021, and has remained above that level ever since. This is a really nice position to be in.Despite outstanding overall progress since the IPO, including the above-mentioned impressive financial results, the market cap has fallen to below $300 billion, and is hovering around record low levels. Looking at it differently,Alibaba's cash position now reflects ~25% of its market cap. I don't believe this anomaly will last for too long, and investors who accumulate at today's depressed prices stand to benefit tremendously, once the dust settles. It is a matter of when, not if. That said, it doesn't mean that it will be a smooth ride going forward. Yes, Alibaba is like a coil spring, but it can most certainly drop further. After all, market sentiment is terrible right now, and for good reasons. High inflation, interest rate hikes, the war in Ukraine and supply chain disruptions are amongst the biggest factors contributing to the market turmoil. As a value investor, the sell off has not made Alibaba a riskier investment. In contrast, investors can now buy one dollar for even less, which in a way makes Alibaba less risky. Based on Alibaba's massive cash pile and strong ongoing cash flow generation, I estimate that Alibaba is currently trading well below 50 cents on the dollar. Also, as long as the share price remains flattish, the discount to fair value will widen even more, as the cash balance will keep on increasing, all else constant, therefore adding to Alibaba's wealth. Also, it is important to note that Alibaba is better diversified compared to its IPO days. Don't discount its 1 billion global active consumers (spread across many online brands), high-margin cloud business and growing brick-and-mortar empire. My bet is that, over the next decade, Alibaba will be a much bigger company and even more diversified. However, even if Alibaba doesn't grow at all, it still is cheap today. I always stress test my investments, trying to be as prudent as possible. Wayfair was a market darling when we were hunkering down at the start of the pandemic. We were going to spend a lot of time at home, so we were turning to the online retailer of furniture and other home essentials to get as comfortable as possible. A lot of folks also moved to the suburbs to get more bang for their real estate buck, and those new digs needed new pieces of furniture to make the house a home.</p><p>It&#39;s a whole new world for Wayfair. Revenue growth has been negative for four consecutive quarters. The bottom line is getting worse. In just the last three months we&#39;ve seen Wall Street estimates for losses more than double for 2022 and almost quadruple come next year. The new shift to enter physical retail won&#39;t be cheap. With sales expected to decline this year and profitability nowhere in sight it&#39;s hard to get excited about Wayfair despite its brand awareness and cool digital tools like letting shoppers use augmented reality to see what a potential purchase would look like in their actual room. Wayfair reports quarterly results on Thursday morning. The market&#39;s already bracing for a bad report, but sometimes that&#39;s not enough.</p><h2><b>TrueCar</b></h2><p>The online lead generator for auto showrooms has been up on blocks lately. Revenue is going the wrong way. Losses are mounting. It has posted larger-than-expected deficits in back-to-back quarters. Analyst forecasts for red ink continue to grow. It&#39;s against this uninspiring backdrop that TrueCar reports its second-quarter financial results on Tuesday afternoon.</p><p>TrueCar has run into a few speed bumps over the years. It has had to tweak its original shopper-friendly model to appeal to both buyers and showroom dealers, and that&#39;s a delicate balance. This is also a rough time to be selling vehicles with high gas prices and lean inventory for the hotter cars. The stock has shed nearly 90% of its value since peaking eight years ago, and it&#39;s hard to say that it isn&#39;t a lemon these days.</p><h2><b>Tesla Motors</b></h2><p>This is the third week in a row that Tesla Motors makes the cut. I was wrong the last two weeks. Is the third time the charm or the harm? The stock has risen this month despite a far from perfect quarterly update and a whirlwind of controversies and distractions.</p><p>Tesla has outpaced the market the last two weeks as a high-beta stock on cruise control in a rising market. The stock&#39;s steep valuation seems immune to weakness in the general automotive market, and rising gas prices are naturally an incentive to go electric. After two weeks of big moves, I feel it&#39;s time for Tesla Motors to pull off the road and recharge. We&#39;ll see if I get burned again.</p><p>It&#39;s going to be a bumpy road for some of these investments.
