offering","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=2140026421","media":"Dow Jones","summary":"AMC Entertainment Holdings on Thursday announced a new stock sale to take advantage of the extraordi","content":"
AMC Entertainment Holdings on Thursday announced a new stock sale to take advantage of the extraordinary retail interest that has driven the movie-theater chain's equity up by 2,850% this year.

AMC's $(AMC)$ lawyers are apparently as surprised as anyone -- so much so that the company added a fresh risk factor to its 11 million--share sale, which basically boils down to this warning: Prepare to lose everything if you buy the stock.

The following is the full, extraordinary warning (bolded and italicized text reproduced as in AMC prospectus):

The market prices and trading volume of our shares of Class A common stock have recently experienced, and may continue to experience, extreme volatility, which could cause purchasers of our Class A common stock to incur substantial losses.

The market prices and trading volume of our shares of Class A common stock have recently experienced, and may continue to experience, extreme volatility, which could cause purchasers of our Class A common stock to incur substantial losses. For example, during 2021 to date, the market price of our Class A common stock has fluctuated from an intra-day low of $1.91 per share on January 5, 2021 to an intra-day high on the NYSE of $72.62 on June 2, 2021 and the last reported sale price of our Class A common stock on the NYSE on June 2, 2021, was $62.55 per share. During 2021 to date, daily trading volume ranged from approximately 23,598,228 to 1,253,253,550 shares. Within the last seven business days, the market price of our Class A common stock has fluctuated from an intra-day low of $12.18 on May 24, 2021 to an intra-day high of $72.62 on June 2, 2021, and we have made no disclosure regarding a change to our underlying business during that period, other than with respect to an additional financing.

We believe that the recent volatility and our current market prices reflect market and trading dynamics unrelated to our underlying business, or macro or industry fundamentals, and we do not know how long these dynamics will last. Under the circumstances, we caution you against investing in our Class A common stock, unless you are prepared to incur the risk of losing all or a substantial portion of your investment.

Extreme fluctuations in the market price of our Class A common stock have been accompanied by reports of strong and atypical retail investor interest, including on social media and online forums. This might have led to loss in small and medium business customers, which is likely to have hurt top-line growth.Key Q1 HighlightsDuring the to-be-reported quarter, Zoom announced $100 million venture fund called Zoom Apps Fund, aimed at stimulating growth of Zoom’s ecosystem of Zoom Apps, integrations, developer platform and hardware. Moreover, during the quarter, Zoom and Formula 1 announced that they have entered a new extensive multi-year partnership across the upcoming 2021 FIA Formula One World Championship racing season and beyond.Further, in February, Zoom announced the availability of Zoom Rooms that will help organizations safely re-enter the office and sustain an “everywhere workforce”.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"ZM":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":1517,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[{"author":{"id":"3576672486270158","authorId":"3576672486270158","name":"btzm1991","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/e069fa6dd8de7190f5729f91d4cdcab4","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"authorIdStr":"3576672486270158","idStr":"3576672486270158"},"content":"reply comment please","text":"reply comment please","html":"reply comment please"}],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":107799806,"gmtCreate":1620535811405,"gmtModify":1704344741052,"author":{"id":"3577594477850307","authorId":"3577594477850307","name":"Wallstrat","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/72e278e5cb2ede803b1dff8ad9415a5c","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3577594477850307","idStr":"3577594477850307"},"themes":[],"title":"","htmlText":"like n comment","listText":"like n comment","text":"like n comment","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":7,"commentSize":4,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/107799806","repostId":"1106882084","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":1067,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":806860342,"gmtCreate":1627649519686,"gmtModify":1703494054765,"author":{"id":"3577594477850307","authorId":"3577594477850307","name":"Wallstrat","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/72e278e5cb2ede803b1dff8ad9415a5c","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3577594477850307","idStr":"3577594477850307"},"themes":[],"title":"","htmlText":"like","listText":"like","text":"like","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":8,"commentSize":3,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/806860342","repostId":"1109167679","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":1405,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":152779574,"gmtCreate":1625360922998,"gmtModify":1703740666194,"author":{"id":"3577594477850307","authorId":"3577594477850307","name":"Wallstrat","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/72e278e5cb2ede803b1dff8ad9415a5c","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3577594477850307","idStr":"3577594477850307"},"themes":[],"title":"","htmlText":"like","listText":"like","text":"like","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":8,"commentSize":3,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/152779574","repostId":"1188153141","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1188153141","kind":"news","pubTimestamp":1625276221,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1188153141?lang=en_US&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2021-07-03 09:37","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Suze Orman worries about a market crash — here's what you should do","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1188153141","media":"MoneyWise","summary":"As stock markets continue setting records, fallout from COVID-19 continues to create problems for th","content":"
As stock markets continue setting records, fallout from COVID-19 continues to create problems for the economy.
\n
That clash has worried investing experts, including Suze Orman, who's gone so far as to say she’s now preparing for an inevitable market crash.
\n
And a famous measurement popularized by Warren Buffett — known as the Buffett Indicator — shows Orman might be onto something.
\n
Here’s an explanation of where the concern is coming from and some techniques you can use tokeep your investment portfolio growingeven if the market goes south.
\n
What does Suze Orman think?
\n
Mediapunch/Shutterstock
\n
Suze Orman has avidly watched the market for decades. For leisure and travel stocks like Airbnb that got slammed by pandemic shutdowns, the lifting of Covid curbs means adjusting to a whole new world.

Some tastes people acquired last year as they looked for escapes from lockdown are proving durable, like traveling to national parks by RV. Others, such as boating, grew out of surges in wealth that the stock market rally provided. As the summer travel season heats up, Americans are making new choices in where they go, when they go, how they get there and who joins them.

\"The world is never going back to the way it was,\" said Airbnb CEO Brian Chesky on an earnings call in May. \"And that means that travel is never going back to the way it was either.\"

One major trend is travelers have become more flexible about when and where they go, especially as remote work allows people to blur when they are on and off the clock. Airbnb stock rose May 24, when the company updated booking features, including an option to search for listings without fixed dates or locations.

And consumers aren't the only ones changing their habits. While tourism-dependent destinations suffered last year, the less-packed streets also showed locals the benefits of quieter communities.

Residents and local officials in normally packed hot spots like Italy and Hawaii are considering limiting the number of tourists. Such a seismic change could make visiting these places prohibitively expensive for many people. If the mix of travelers tilts more heavily toward the wealthy, travel stocks will nudge further toward luxury.

Leisure, Travel Industry Stocks

Shares across the sector have rebounded from last year's pandemic lows. The stocks' recent chart action is mixed. But many travel stocks have outperformed the market the past week and could present buying opportunities for investors.

Airline stocks like American Airlines, United Airlines and Delta Air Lines surged earlier this year on the Reddit stock short squeeze. Then they sold off because business and overseas travel remained weak. Since then, they've consolidated and are approaching buy points.

Cruise stocks like Carnival, Royal Caribbean and Norwegian Cruise Line are showing similar patterns.

Meanwhile, shares of boat makers MarineMax and Brunswick as well as RV makers Winnebago and Thor Industries need to regroup after some failed breakouts. They are no longer in buy zones but could form new bases if earnings and sales growth remain strong.

Hotel leader Marriott has been less volatile and is forming a base, though earnings and sales have yet to fully recover.

Airbnb stock has had a more difficult year. It surged after going public in December but began to slump in March as competition from Expedia rival Vrbo rental service reduced the availability of hosts. A mixed Q1 earnings report and the end of a post-IPO lockup period also weighed on Airbnb stock, which popped up 6% Thursday on higher volume but remained 35% off its 2021 high.

When Luxury Means More Privacy

Luxury travel, once the purview of only the ultrarich, may have won over those who might have had the means but not the need to travel lavishly.
