These three stocks have what it takes.Amazon(AMZN): The e-commerce giant's stock is at its lowest level since the 2008-09 financial crisis.Nvidia (NVDA): Hovering near its 52-week low, this leading chip stock is at fire sale prices right now.CrowdStrike(CRWD):The cybersecurity stock is sure to benefit once the current bear market ends.Source: eamesBot / ShutterstockWhile it can be difficult for investors to feel optimistic and willing to buy stocks during the current market volatility, the reality is that there are many great stocks on sale right now. Prices for growth stocks in particular have been beaten down this year, putting them at extremely attractive prices and valuations.Investors who can stomach the near-term volatility are likely to be rewarded long-term as markets rebound and the share prices of leading growth stocks rebound and ascend to new heights. While the market has pulled down all stocks this year onĀ fears of inflation and a potential economic recession, the declines are not due to any fundamental problems at many leading companies. Here are three growth stocks to buy now before a possible recession hits.Amazon (AMZN)Following its recentĀ 20-for-1 stock split, shares of e-commerce giantĀ Amazon.com, Inc.(NASDAQ:AMZN) are currently trading at $105, their most affordable level since the 2008-09 financial crisis.AMZN stock isĀ down nearly 40% year to date,Ā putting it at fire sale prices. While the Seattle-based company is struggling with some short-term issues, long-term Amazon should continue delivering for shareholders.Problems weighing on AMZN stock include supply chain constraints, employee wage inflation, and a bet on electric vehicle makerĀ Rivian(NASDAQ:RIVN) that led Amazon to take aĀ $7.6 billion lossĀ on the investment. The Rivian gamble resulted in Amazon reportingĀ a net loss of $3.8 billionĀ in its most recent quarter, pushing its share price down in the process. However, investors should keep in mind that over the past five years, Amazon has delivered a 110% return to shareholders. This stock is built to last.Nvidia (NVDA)Microchip and semiconductor companyĀ Nvidia CorporationĀ (NASDAQ:NVDA) is another great technology stock that is on sale right now. Investors with a long-term horizon can buy NVDA stock at $157, which is only slightly above its 52-week low of $153.28 and 55% below its 12-month high of $346.47.At these levels, Nvidia really isĀ a screaming buy, especially given its increasingly dominant position in the chip and semiconductor space. The fall in the share price of Santa Clara, California-based Nvidia has more to do with negative investor sentiment and the broader decline in the entire stock market than Nvidiaās performance. Despite some temporary headwinds in the form of inflation and supply chains, Nvidia has continued to beat Wall Street expectations this year.In itsĀ most recent earnings print, Nvidia beat analyst consensus expectations for its revenue and earnings per share. Its total sales were up 46% year-over-year.However, NVDA stock fell after its earnings when the company providedĀ lower forward guidance, saying video game sales are slowing. But donāt be fooled, Nvidiaās share price will come roaring back when the current bear market ends.CrowdStrike (CRWD)Cybersecurity companyĀ CrowdStrike Holdings, Inc.Ā (NASDAQ:CRWD) is not only a solid technology stock, it is also the right firm at the right time. This is because cybersecurity is front-and-center on the minds of government and corporate leaders, as well as investors.Ā Major cyber attacksĀ on leading companies such as Nvidia andĀ MicrosoftĀ (NASDAQ:MSFT), as well as RussiaĀ -Ā UkraineĀ war, have heightened awareness of the importance of cybersecurity. President Joe Biden has publicly urged corporate American toĀ take the issue seriously. This is good news for CrowdStrike and its shareholders. It also helps to explain why CRWD stock is only down 19% year to date versus a 32% decline for the Nasdaq index on which the companyās shares trade. And at $160 per share, CrowdStrikeās stock is 46% below its 52-week high of $298.48.Going forward, the stock isĀ sure to reboundĀ and soar to new heights coming out of the current downturn as corporations and governments continue to invest heavily in cybersecurity.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"AMZN":0.9,"CRWD":0.9,"NVDA":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":3254,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9043694953,"gmtCreate":1655912772572,"gmtModify":1676535731029,"author":{"id":"3586672191897597","authorId":"3586672191897597","name":"MrInvestor","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/40974a38cd623c0089adf8fd12d91591","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3586672191897597","idStr":"3586672191897597"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"<a Micro Devices(AMD) announced its Ryzen Embedded R2000 Series of processors today. These are an upgrade over the R1000 series of processors. They're designed for use in robotics systems, Internet of Things (IoT) devices and more.Advanced Micro Devices(NASDAQ:AMD) stock is rising higher on Tuesday after announcing anew generation of processors.Letās go over all the details investors need to know about below!AMD has introduced its Ryzen Embedded R2000 Series of processors. These are āsecond-generation mid-range system-on-chip (SoC) processors.āThey are designed for use in āindustrial and robotics systems, machine vision, IoT and thin-client equipment.āThese new processors sport double the core count compared to their first-generation counterparts. This has them featuring up to four Zen+ cores with eight threads. They also come equipped with 2MB of L2 cache and 4MB of shared L3 cache. The new processors from Ryzen also support 3200 MT/s DDR4 dual-channel memory and expanded I/O connectivity. That gives them 50% higher memory bandwidth and two times greater I/O connectivity over R1000 series processors.According to AMD, this allows the processors to power up to four separate displays at 4K resolution. They can also support up to 16 lanes of PCIe Gen 3, two SATA 3.0 ports and six USB ports. The processors are available for use on systems running Windows 10, Windows 11 and Linux Ubuntu LTS.There are four new processors for the Ryzen Embedded R2000 Series. They are R2544, R2514, R2314 and R2312.AMD is expecting R2544 and R2514 to be available for purchase in October 2022.For the other two, the company simply lists them as āin production.āAMD will show off the new Ryzen Embedded R2000 Series processors at Embedded World 2022 from June 21 to June 23.AMD stock is up 2.72% today.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"AMD":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":839,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9049572518,"gmtCreate":1655821702034,"gmtModify":1676535711740,"author":{"id":"3586672191897597","authorId":"3586672191897597","name":"MrInvestor","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/40974a38cd623c0089adf8fd12d91591","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3586672191897597","idStr":"3586672191897597"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Crypto The double-digit percentage decline the S&P 500 experienced in January marks the 39th correction of at least 10% for the widely followed index since the beginning of 1950.But where there are crashes and corrections, there's also opportunity. That's because every sizable decline in the S&P 500 has eventually been put in the rearview mirror by a bull market rally. If the broader market were to continue to plunge, the following four companies would be some of the smartest stocks to buy.Image source: Getty Images.Berkshire HathawayIn a world where growth stocks have dominated, perhaps no company has more consistently outperformed the broader market for decades than Berkshire Hathaway (NYSE:BRK.A)(NYSE:BRK.B).Berkshire might not be a household name, but its CEO, billionaire Warren Buffett, certainly is. Since taking the reins in 1965, Buffett has led his company's Class A shares (BRK.A) to an average annual gain of better than 20%. In aggregate, we're talking about a total gain of around 3,800,000% in 57 years. One of the key reasons the Oracle of Omaha is such a successful investor is due to his company's focus on cyclical businesses. Cyclical companies thrive when the economy is running on all cylinders and struggle when recessions arise. Buffett fully understands that recessions typically last for a few months to a couple of quarters. Comparatively, periods of expansion usually last for years, if not a decade. Warren Buffett is allowing time to be his ally and playing a simple numbers game that works in favor of ultra-long-term investors. The other not-so-subtle secret to Berkshire Hathaway's outperformance is dividend income. This year, Buffett's company is on pace to collect over $5 billion in payouts, which works out to a yield relative to cost of around 5%. Dividend stocks are almost always profitable and time-tested. This means Buffett and his team have packed Berkshire's portfolio with successful businesses that can navigate whatever the U.S. economy and stock market throw their way.Image source: Getty Images.Walgreens Boots AllianceHealthcare stocks are usually a wise place to put your money to work if the market plunges. That's why pharmacy chain and value stock Walgreens Boots Alliance (NASDAQ:WBA) would be such a smart buy.No matter how well or poorly the U.S. economy performs, or how high the year-over-year inflation figure rises, people don't get to choose when they get sick or what ailment(s) they develop. This means demand for prescription drugs, medical devices, and healthcare services tends to remain steady in any economic environment. What specifically makes Walgreens so intriguing is the company's multipoint growth strategy targeting higher margins and a faster organic growth rate. To lift margins, the company has reduced its annual operating expenses by more than $2 billion a full fiscal year ahead of schedule.Meanwhile, to boost the company's organic growth rate, Walgreens is spending aggressively on two key initiatives. First, it's actively promoting direct-to-consumer sales. Even though the company's brick-and-mortar locations will account for the lion's share of revenue, online sales are an easy way to boost organic growth as consumers shift their buying habits.Second, Walgreens has partnered with, and invested in, VillageMD to open upwards of 600 co-located, full-service clinics by 2025 in over 30 U.S. markets. These physician-staffed clinics can be used to funnel repeat clients to the company's higher-margin pharmacy.Image source: Getty Images.Palo Alto NetworksAnother exceptionally smart stock to buy if the market plunges is cybersecurity powerhouse and growth stock Palo Alto Networks (NASDAQ:PANW).If you're noticing a theme with this list, it's that highly defensive sectors and industries are a smart place to put your money to work when corrections arise. Cybersecurity is a sustained double-digit growth trend which has become a basic necessity for businesses of all sizes that have an online or cloud-based presence. Hackers and robots simply don't care if Wall Street has a rough day. There are two key reasons Palo Alto makes for such an impressive growth story. To begin with, it's undergoing a business transformation that's emphasizing subscription services. Even though the company continues to sell physical firewall products, subscription services provide better long-term margins and less revenue lumpiness. Over time, a larger percentage of total sales will derive from these higher-margin channels.Palo Alto's other major growth driver is its many bolt-on acquisitions. Management hasn't been afraid to deploy capital in order to expand its product portfolio or broaden its pool of potential customers. These acquisitions have been pivotal in helping Palo Alto reach new small and medium-sized businesses.Image source: Getty Images.Bank of AmericaA fourth and final company that would be one of the smartest stocks to buy if the market plunges is money-center giant Bank of America (NYSE:BAC).Bank stocks like BofA are highly cyclical. Even though they can occasionally get caught up in the short-term emotions that weigh down stocks, they benefit immensely from the natural expansion of the U.S. and global economy over time. This allows patient investors in large bank stocks to build their wealth steadily over time. Not surprisingly, Bank of America is Warren Buffett's second-largest holding. What makes Bank of America such a perfect buy at the moment (and if the market continues to fall) is the upcoming shift in the Federal Reserve's monetary policy. With U.S. inflation hitting a 40-year high in January, the nation's central bank has no choice but to aggressively begin raising interest rates. No bank stock is more interest-sensitive than BofA. In its year-end report, the company noted that a 100-basis-point parallel shift in the interest rate yield curve would add an estimated $6.5 billion in net interest income.Ā In other words, the more inflation becomes an issue, the likelier BofA is to see a big boost to its bottom line. Also, as I've previously pointed out, Bank of America's digital push is really paying dividends. Over the past three years, it's added 5 million new digital active customers and seen the aggregate number of loan sales completed online or via app jump from 31% to 49%. It's far more cost-effective when customers transact digitally than in person or by phone. As consumers make this digital shift, BofA has consolidated some of its branches and lowered its expenses.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"WBA":1,"PANW":1,".SPX":0.74,"BRK.A":1,"BRK.B":1,"BAC":1}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":1408,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9095721399,"gmtCreate":1645000088815,"gmtModify":1676533985038,"author":{"id":"3586672191897597","authorId":"3586672191897597","name":"MrInvestor","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/40974a38cd623c0089adf8fd12d91591","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3586672191897597","idStr":"3586672191897597"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Netflix it is","listText":"Netflix it is","text":"Netflix it is","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":1,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9095721399","repostId":"2211563955","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"2211563955","kind":"highlight","pubTimestamp":1644969658,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/2211563955?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2022-02-16 08:00","market":"us","language":"en","title":"3 Growth Stocks Down 20% to 77% to Buy Now","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=2211563955","media":"Motley Fool","summary":"Low prices could be a value trap, but these definitely spell opportunity.","content":"
\n
It hasn't been a great year so far for growth stocks. After massive valuation spikes and general macroeconomic upheaval, investors have been shifting their money into value stocks. That's leaving many excellent stocks on the table, withering in value even as they manage effective businesses and offer high potential for reward. The tide will turn at some point, and that spells opportunity for forward-thinking investors. If you focus on the long term, you'll find great investing options that offer a low entry point, making the potential for gains even greater. We asked three Motley Fool contributors for their top choices, and Walt DisneyĀ (NYSE:DIS),Ā fuboTV (NYSE:FUBO), and NetflixĀ (NASDAQ:NFLX) made the cut. They're all down over the past year,Ā and smart investors will take the chance to buy on the dip.Disney: Down 20% over one yearJennifer Saibil (Disney): Disney's business has been ping-ponging back and forth since the pandemic started, a big departure from its more typical solid performance as the biggest entertainment company in the world. When parks were closed, Disney+ carried the company through, then parks rebounded and streaming slowed down. In the latest numbers, the 2022 fiscal first quarter (ended Jan. 1) demonstrated good news all around, and this might just be the end of the tunnel for investors. In the 2021 fourth quarter, investors were disappointed in the light subscriber additions for Disney+. At the time, management wasn't worried, and reassured investors that it was on track for subscriber additions over time, although each quarter wouldn't be symmetrical. Disney regained investor confidence when that became true in the first quarter, and Disney+ added 11.7 million more subscribers than last quarter. But that's just the beginning of Disney's amazing performance in the first quarter. It posted record total revenue of $21.8 billion, a 34% year-over-year increase. Earnings per share (EPS) from continuing operations came in at $0.63, up from $0.02 last year. EPS (excluding certain items) of $1.06 was up from $0.32 last year and beat average analyst expectations of $0.74.\"This marks the final year of The Walt Disney Company's first century, and performance like this coupled with our unmatched collection of assets and platforms, creative capabilities, and unique place in the culture give me great confidence we will continue to define entertainment for the next 100 years,\" CEO Bob Chapek said. With its unmatched content creation machines, parks, products, and more, investors should expect that as well.Disney's price did rise on the beat, but it's still down over the past year, giving you the opportunity to get shares of this entertainment giant for a great price.fuboTV: Down 77%Ā over one yearParkev Tatevosian (fuboTV): fuboTV is a sports-centric streaming alternative to live TV. The company benefits from the trend of consumers preferring to stream their content. That tailwind is unlikely to reverse as streaming offers convenience and, most of the time, lower costs. Not to mention folks can enjoy a streaming live TV service anywhere they get an internet connection with a mobile device, a feature not possible with a cable TV connection.fuboTV's revenue is snowballing. Indeed, in its most recently reported quarter, ended Sept. 30, 2021, fuboTV's revenue increased by 156% from the same quarter in the year before. It grew subscribers by 108% in that same time. In January, the company announced preliminary results for its fourth quarter, and again delivered robust growth in revenue and subscriber figures. Interestingly, fuboTV is not the only streaming alternative to live TV, but it outperforms its competitors. According to Nielsen, from the third quarter of 2020 to Q3 2021, when fuboTV grew subscribers by 108%, the rest of its industry grew by just 34%.The results highlight that consumers gravitate toward fuboTV's sports-centric option, which makes sense. One of the primary reasons folks stick with live TV services is sports. So far, that's an excellent sign for fuboTV and its shareholders. And with an estimated 73 million households still on traditional pay-TV subscriptions in the U.S., fuboTV has plenty of runway for growth. That's all well and good, but why is the stock down 77% in the past year? To put it simply, it costs more for fuboTV to serve its subscribers than it gets back in revenue. The company lost $106 million on the bottom line in Q3 on $156.7 million in revenue. As you might imagine, that business model is not sustainable, and something needs to change. Either fuboTV needs to charge more for its service, which could slow subscriber growth, or it needs to lower its expenses. Investors who take a chance on management's ability to figure this out stand to reap significant gains.Netflix: Down 29% over one yearJohn Ballard (Netflix): Netflix shares are 42% off recent highs, which presents a rare opportunity to buy this leading streamer on sale.Ā Investors can blame slowing subscriber growth, which came in at 8.9% year over year in the fourth quarter.Ā That is down from the 20%-plus rates we saw through 2020. But as sometimes happens, the market is taking an ultra-short-term view on this disruptive entertainment platform.Global broadband and smart TV penetration are still growing around the world.Ā But investors are underestimating how far into the future Netflix can add new subscribers. One analyst estimates that Netflix can hit 500 million subscribers by 2030,Ā which would still be a small fraction of the global internet population of more than 5 billion.Management's strategy to continue investing in content while guiding the business toward positive free cash flow beyond 2022 should drive shareholder returns.Ā One near-term release that could change the market's mind is season four of Stranger Things coming this summer. By the time Netflix dumps more content from its delayed production schedule over the next year, Netflix stock could look very undervalued at these lows.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"DIS":1,"NFLX":0.6,"FUBO":1}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":723,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9092609187,"gmtCreate":1644595640028,"gmtModify":1676533945078,"author":{"id":"3586672191897597","authorId":"3586672191897597","name":"MrInvestor","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/40974a38cd623c0089adf8fd12d91591","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3586672191897597","idStr":"3586672191897597"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"$Meta Platforms, Inc.(FB)$Come on $Meta Platforms, Inc.(FB)$, let's bounce back. The 10-year note has surged about 15 points, meanwhile, as investors sell those bonds, anticipating higher interest rates ahead. The omicron surge has prompted multiple changes to Mondayās celebration of the life of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Communities from Alabama to Massachusetts, after initially planning in-person events, have instead pivoted to online versions, in many cases for the second year in a row.Even so, investors continue to reward exchange-traded funds geared toward the āre-opening tradeā more than the āwork-from-homeā regime that dominated 2020. The double-digit percentage decline the S&P 500 experienced in January marks the 39th correction of at least 10% for the widely followed index since the beginning of 1950.But where there are crashes and corrections, there's also opportunity. Bipartisan talk of antitrust actions against the e-commerce giant could mean that Amazonās dominance could begin to face challenges from Washington. That comes as Bezos handed off the CEO role to Andy Jassy earlier this month.
\n
Shares of Amazon have underperformed the tech-heavy Nasdaq 100 and the S&P 500 in 2021, even as the coronavirus pandemic forced Americans to rely on its service during the darkest days.
\n
Given all this, it is worth considering e-commerce alternatives if youāre worried that Amazonās best days are behind it.
\n
Here are five smaller high-growth companies you may want to research:
\n
Sea
\n
Shares of Sea Ltd. are up about 45% in 2021, hitting new all-time highs as it continues its aggressive growth across Asia and Latin America.
\n
The Singapore-based company has a broad business model capitalizing on e-commerce and digital retail operations around the world. That includes its Garena digital entertainment platform that publishes video games and offers e-sports tie-ins, the Shopee e-commerce platform and SeaMoney digital financial services that include mobile payment services.
\n
Sea was a darling in 2020 as it rode the āstay at home tradeā to great success. Revenue doubled year over year in 2020 to $4.4 billion, and the companyās momentum was the envy of Wall Street as Sea stock racked up roughly 640% gains on the calendar year.
\n
But the fundamentals shown by Sea in 2021 hint that the surge in share prices were justified. Consider that in its first-quarter report in May, revenue surged by about 150%ā while gross profit tripled year over year.
\n
With its next earnings report scheduled for mid-August, Sea stock could see another leg up as it continues to prove Amazon isnāt the only e-commerce name worth watching.
\n
Coupang
\n
While Sea has been a cult stock for a while in some circles, one Asian e-commerce stock that is still flying under the radar for many is Korea-based Coupang Inc.. South Koreaās biggest e-commerce company began trading in March after an IPO that raised $4.6 billion, but since then shares have drifted lower ā and other cult-like stocks have won all the attention.
\n
If you havenāt yet heard of Coupang, its model should be quite familiar. It sells various products including home goods, apparel, beauty products, sporting goods and electronics. Itās also looking beyond these tried-and-true categories to include a focus on fresh food and groceries, as well as services including travel and restaurant delivery.
\n
Though the fundamentals are light given its recent debut, the numbers we have do show this regional e-tailer is connecting in a big way in Korea. Namely, it saw net revenue growth of 74% in its first-quarter report in May, and gross profit up 70% year over year. Total customers grew 21%, and revenue per customer surged 44%.
\n
Admittedly, the total customer base in that quarter was just 16 million households ā hardly Amazon-esque. And so far in 2021, share prices has slumped slightly, even though the S&P 500 has powered higher. But remember, this is a company that just raised $4.6 billion ā with a āBā ā and is serious about growth. Considering the language and logistical barriers to competition in the markets it serves that clearly have long-term growth potential, investors may want to consider the lull in Coupang shares a buying opportunity.
\n
MercadoLibre
\n
Taking a page out of the playbook of Silicon Valley stocks that boast high share prices and a refusal to split, MercadoLibre Inc. is currently trading well above four figures ā and based on recent history, seems as if itās likely to stay there.
\n
MercadoLibre stock has cooled off in 2021 and is sitting on a slight loss year to date, compared with an uptrend broadly for U.S. stocks. However, thatās after this Latin American stock racked up 200% gains last year. Argentina-based MercadoLibre is hardly slowing down, however, as in the first quarter it reported 70 million active users ā an increase of 62% above the just over 43 million users in the prior year. Gross merchandise volume was up even more at a 77% year-over-year growth rate to just over $6 billion, compared with $3.4 billion in the first quarter of 2020.
\n
Whatās really exciting for investors, however, is that the gains in core e-commerce transactions is supplemented by continued growth into financial services. MercadoLibre reported an impressive $2.9 billion in payment volume through its mobile wallet platform, and its Mercado Credito lending platform saw its portfolio grow to $576 million ā more than doubling over the prior year.
\n
Amazon has taught e-commerce companies that dominating all aspects of the consumer experience is how to truly build a dominant operation. With MercadoLibre growing sales but also increasingly connecting on the financial side, it is setting up itself to be a force in Latin America ā and a real competitor to even entrenched western e-commerce brands.
\n
Newegg
\n
Newegg Commerce Inc. is a consumer-electronics e-tailer that has a bit of a following in computer geek circles but largely has gone unnoticed by most consumers and investors. That is, until it spiked from $10 a share to a brief high above $60 a share in July.
\n
The inciting incident was news that Newegg would carry hard-to-get Nvidia graphics hardware, and theoretically see a big bump in revenue and profits as a result. However, Newegg may be proving that it is much more than just a tangential play piggybacking off Nvidia as it proves there is real value to specialty retailers that serve a specific audience ā and can offer in-demand products instead of knock-offs propped up by fraudulent five-star reviews.
\n
Newegg went public via a SPAC, so it doesnāt have a lot of history to show investors just yet. But what little we know is proof that Newegg stock has potential. Consider it commands an impressive market share when it comes to core hardware items like PC processors, motherboards and the like. It also ranks as a top-five website worldwide when it comes to computer and electronics retailing sites, and is a go-to site for cryptocurrency miners as well as PC gamers.
\n
According to what we know about the financials, Newegg topped $2.1 billion in sales, thanks to its dominance in this profitable niche of computer components. And as evidenced by its recent Nvidia score, it has deep relationships with consumer electronics suppliers to ensure it is not just another Amazon clone selling cut-rate flat screens.
\n
Shopify
\n
If youāre interested in what life looks like for e-commerce beyond Amazon, look no further than Shopify Inc..This Canada-based tech company offers a platform for any company to build out web and mobile storefronts, integrate those operations into physical retail locations and then assist with the nitty gritty of inventory, shipping and payments.
\n
Shopify stock was one of those names that made a lot of headlines in 2020 as part of the pandemic-related surge in service providers made for social distancing. Shares surged from about $400 to $1,100 last year as a result of everyone looking to do business digitally. But in 2021, Shopify stock has tacked on almost 40% more, proving this is not just a COVID trade. After all, the e-commerce potential it helps merchants realize is real and lasting beyond the pandemic.
\n
Case in point:Fiscal first-quarter revenue growth reported at the end of April was a red hot 110%. But what long-term investors will like even more is that its subscription service metric MRR ā that is, monthly recurring revenue ā accelerated 62% year-over-year to prove that many of the initial spend on building out these platforms is sticking as clients maintain their Shopify presence.
\n
Shopify isnāt quite the scale of Amazon, but at $200 billion or so in market value right now with a comfortable operating profit to sustain it, investors who want to bet the field vs. Bezos & Co. could do worse than plug into Shopify stock.
","source":"lsy1603348471595","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n\n\n\n
Amazon's stock looks tired.
