Investors","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=2246784007","media":"Dow Jones","summary":"'The inflation rhetoric is cooling, while the recession narrative is gaining headlines,' says Bob Sc","content":"

'The inflation rhetoric is cooling, while the recession narrative is gaining headlines,' says Bob Schwartz of Oxford Economics.

It's easy to want to duck for cover given the carnage seen this year in stocks and bonds, particularly with the Federal Reserve vowing to wage an unconditional battle against high inflation.

While inflation running at a 40-year high still sits near the top of the list of worries for many investors, another potential bugaboo for markets has begun to lurk, in the form of slower corporate earnings growth -- and potentially in the broader U.S. economy.

"I would say there's definitely a concern that earnings expectations are dropping again. Softening, but not falling off a cliff," said Jake Remley, senior portfolio manager at Income Research + Management, by phone.

Ahead of fresh corporate results beginning in mid-July, analysts pegged the S&P 500 index's estimated earnings growth rate for the second quarter at 4.3%, according to a Friday report from FactSet, a level that would mark its lowest yearly growth rate since the fourth-quarter of 2020.

"You could argue that bad news is going to take some pressure off the Fed," Remley said, speaking of the Federal Reserve's plans to dramatically tighten financial conditions this summer, in a bid to cool soaring inflation.

"They don't want to break the consumer, or the corporate bond market, or bank balance sheets," he said. "But it's going to take more than what they've done, from our perspective," to avoid high costs of living from becoming entrenched.

"The faster they do it, the better."

Recession or inflation?

It's a delicate dance. The Fed wants to cool demand for goods and services, through starkly higher interest rates, but without going too far, throwing workers out of jobs by triggering an economic recession.

San Francisco Federal Reserve President Mary Daly on Friday added her support for another big interest-rate hike in July to target high inflation, without derailing the economy.

"The biggest fear isn't one or the other -- it's both," said Mark Heppenstall, chief investment officer at Penn Mutual Asset Management, about whether a growth scare or inflation matters the most.

The U.S. economy shrank 1.4% on an annualized basis in the first quarter. With higher interest rates and tighter financial conditions, the economy could be on the path of a technical recession, he said, by phone.

"It's definitely feeling like a period of stagflation, which is why we are seeing so much volatility in asset prices and in interest rates."

Stocks rallied this week, with the S&P 500 ending 3.1% higher Friday, to book its best day in more than two years. But the broad-market gauge still was down 17.9% for the year, in a bear market, with the Nasdaq Composite Index off 25.8% so far in 2022, according to FactSet.

The blue-chip Dow Jones Industrial Average surged 5.4% for the week, but was still down 13.3% for the year so far.

Tracking layoffs

A key component of '70s-style stagflation was the mix of both high inflation and a weak labor market. By comparison, the current employment picture still looks pretty robust.

That could change quickly, however, if more companies start reporting disappointing corporate earnings, not only as a strong dollar crimps international sales, but more broadly from the ripple effects of inflation at 8.6%, its highest in 40 years.

"The inflation rhetoric is cooling, while the recession narrative is gaining headlines," said Bob Schwartz, senior economist at Oxford Economics, in a Friday note. "That pivot in sentiment is coursing through the financial markets."

He also pointed to retreating bond yields as a potential harbinger of an economic slowdown. The benchmark 10-year Treasury yield was at 3.125% Friday, well off the recent peak of 3.482% hit on June 14, according to Dow Jones Market Data.

"Layoffs are creeping up and job offers are being rescinded," Schwartz said.

While "job searchers have more than enough positions to choose from," Schwartz said, he also echoed some concerns voiced this week by Sen. Elizabeth Warren during Fed Chair Powell's two-day testimony on Capitol Hill. They both stressed that the labor market could weaken as a result of the central bank's tactics to fight inflation.

Namely that the "strong bargaining position that workers have enjoyed over the past two years may be eroding."

Among the key economic data on tap: Monday will bring pending home sales for May, following by the April reading of the S&P Case-Shiller U.S. home price index on Tuesday. Wednesday brings updated U.S. GDP for the first quarter. Thursday has more inflation data for May.

","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n\n\n\n
Recession Is Challenging Inflation As Top Fear Among Stock and Bond Investors
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\nRecession Is Challenging Inflation As Top Fear Among Stock and Bond Investors\n
\n\n
\n\n\n<div class=\"head\" \">\n\n\n

\n\n
\n
Dow Jones
\n
2022-06-26 11:38
\n
\n\n
\n\n\n
\n\n
\n
\n

By comparison, the current employment picture still looks pretty robust. That could change quickly, however, if more companies start reporting disappointing corporate earnings, not only as a strong dollar crimps international sales, but more broadly from the ripple effects of inflation at 8.6%, its highest in 40 years.\"The inflation rhetoric is cooling, while the recession narrative is gaining headlines,\" said Bob Schwartz, senior economist at Oxford Economics, in a Friday note. \"That pivot in sentiment is coursing through the financial markets.\"He also pointed to retreating bond yields as a potential harbinger of an economic slowdown. The benchmark 10-year Treasury yield was at 3.125% Friday, well off the recent peak of 3.482% hit on June 14, according to Dow Jones Market Data.\"Layoffs are creeping up and job offers are being rescinded,\" Schwartz said. While \"job searchers have more than enough positions to choose from,\" Schwartz said, he also echoed some concerns voiced this week by Sen. Elizabeth Warren during Fed Chair Powell's two-day testimony on Capitol Hill. They both stressed that the labor market could weaken as a result of the central bank's tactics to fight inflation.Namely that the \"strong bargaining position that workers have enjoyed over the past two years may be eroding.\"Among the key economic data on tap: Monday will bring pending home sales for May, following by the April reading of the S&P Case-Shiller U.S. home price index on Tuesday. Wednesday brings updated U.S. GDP for the first quarter. Thursday has more inflation data for May.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{".DJI":0.9,".IXIC":0.9,".SPX":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":1883,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9043372021,"gmtCreate":1655880694863,"gmtModify":1676535724891,"author":{"id":"4109667337433200","authorId":"4109667337433200","name":"pphyo","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/feaa9e5abbbe1704a9fc0fbd8f56d8e2","crmLevel":12,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"4109667337433200","idStr":"4109667337433200"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Ok","listText":"Ok","text":"Ok","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":1,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9043372021","repostId":"1133497983","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":2474,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9049936843,"gmtCreate":1655734525483,"gmtModify":1676535694592,"author":{"id":"4109667337433200","authorId":"4109667337433200","name":"pphyo","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/feaa9e5abbbe1704a9fc0fbd8f56d8e2","crmLevel":12,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"4109667337433200","idStr":"4109667337433200"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Ok","listText":"Ok","text":"Ok","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":0,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9049936843","repostId":"2244432145","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"2244432145","kind":"highlight","pubTimestamp":1655683524,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/2244432145?lang=en_US&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2022-06-20 08:05","market":"us","language":"en","title":"2 Growth Stocks to Invest $5,000 in Right Now","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=2244432145","media":"Motley Fool","summary":"The market is fearful. The Federal Reserve's recent 75-basis-point interest rate hike further aggravated the market's fears of an impending recession. Top growth stocks that have long been expensive are available at much more reasonable prices. While no one can predict in which direction the markets may go in the short term, you should do well if you buy fundamentally strong stocks and hold them for the long term. Here are two such stocks to start buying right now.1. TeslaOn Thursday, Tesla's stock was trading around $639.30, close to its 52-week low price. The stock's price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio has fallen to nearly 87, well below an average ratio of 270 in the last year. Based on Tesla's forward earnings, the ratio stands at nearly 52, well below an average of 103 in the last year.TSLA PE Ratio data by YChartsFinally, the price-to-sales ratio has fallen to 11.6, below an average of 19.7 over the last one-year period.Undeniably, Tesla's valuation is still massive compared to traditional automakers. However, the company's industry-leading margins and high earnings growth partly justify its premium valuation. Tesla's P/E-to-growth (PEG) ratio is just 0.14. The ratio compares a stock's P/E to the company's earnings growth. Generally, fast-growing companies are expected to trade at a higher P/E than comparable companies that are growing earnings at a much slower rate. Finally, Tesla continues to innovate and look for newer avenues to keep fueling its growth. The stock's price may fall if the company fails to meet its planned growth targets or if it fails to maintain its margins. However, history so far is on Tesla's side.2. Enphase EnergySolar component manufacturer Enphase Energy has been posting impressive growth over the last several quarters. In the first quarter, Enphase's revenue grew 46% year over year. In five years, Enphase Energy grew its trailing-12-month revenue every year -- from less than $300 million to over $1.5 billion.ENPH Revenue (TTM) data by YChartsAt the same time, it has been generating steady profits for more than three years.Enphase Energy's quality, technologically advanced products are easy to use as well. That's likely a key factor behind its strong growth. At the same time, the company is laser-focused on keeping its costs low. Keeping costs under control is key for Enphase Energy, which faces stiff competition from low-cost Asian manufacturers. In terms of future growth, Enphase Energy is working on several fronts simultaneously. First, in addition to microinverters, the company has already expanded its offerings to include batteries. In the first quarter, it shipped 120.4 megawatt hours of batteries. Enphase Energy has acquired ClipperCreek to enter the electric vehicle charger market. Further, it is collaborating with Upstart Power to integrate fuel cells into its batteries and microinverter systems. All these products expand Enphase Energy's addressable market. Finally, Enphase Energy is also looking to grow its international operations, with a special focus on Europe in the coming years. At a forward P/E ratio of nearly 49, Enphase Energy stock isn't exactly a bargain. But the company's steady growth makes it a top stock to buy on dips for the long term.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"ENPH":0.9,"TSLA":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":2482,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9049933047,"gmtCreate":1655734048689,"gmtModify":1676535694530,"author":{"id":"4109667337433200","authorId":"4109667337433200","name":"pphyo","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/feaa9e5abbbe1704a9fc0fbd8f56d8e2","crmLevel":12,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"4109667337433200","idStr":"4109667337433200"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Ok","listText":"Ok","text":"Ok","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":0,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9049933047","repostId":"1162477566","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1162477566","kind":"news","pubTimestamp":1655709453,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1162477566?lang=en_US&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2022-06-20 15:17","market":"us","language":"en","title":"NIO Surges Over 9% in Hong Kong, Market Cap Back to HK$300 Billion","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1162477566","media":"CnEVPost","summary":"NIO's stores in Shanghai have returned to pre-Covid lockdown traffic levels, and top Chinese investm","content":"

NIO's stores in Shanghai have returned to pre-Covid lockdown traffic levels, and top Chinese investment bank CICC has issued a bullish research note on NIO.

Shares of NIO traded in Hong Kong surged to a near three-month high on Monday, along with a general rise in electric vehicle (EV) stocks.

At press time, NIO was up 9.16 percent in Hong Kong, hitting a new high since April 6 and putting its market capitalization back above HK$300 billion.

NIO's local peer XPeng Motors was up 14.67 percent and Li Auto was up 3.76 percent.

Hong Kong stocks were lukewarm, with the Hang Seng Index up 0.26 percent.

As of writing, NIO's shares traded in Singapore also rose 10.24 percent to a new high since its May 20 listing there.

NIO launched the ES7, the first SUV based on its NT 2.0 platform, and the 2022 ES6, EC6, and ES8 models on June 15. The company also added a new NIO House, which is its comprehensive facility with showroom functions and advanced services for users, in Beijing on the same day.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"02015":0.9,"NIO":0.9,"LI":0.9,"09868":0.9,"NIO.SI":0.9,"XPEV":0.9,"09866":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":1778,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9055504526,"gmtCreate":1655286898965,"gmtModify":1676535604641,"author":{"id":"4109667337433200","authorId":"4109667337433200","name":"pphyo","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/feaa9e5abbbe1704a9fc0fbd8f56d8e2","crmLevel":12,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"4109667337433200","idStr":"4109667337433200"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Good article!","listText":"Good article!","text":"Good article!","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":0,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9055504526","repostId":"2243607569","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"2243607569","kind":"highlight","pubTimestamp":1655285141,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/2243607569?lang=en_US&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2022-06-15 17:25","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Should You Invest in the Stock Market Right Now or Wait?","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=2243607569","media":"Motley Fool","summary":"The market has been rough lately. The S&P 500 is down 22% from its all-time high in January, and some investors worry a bear market could suggest a recession is right around the corner. To be clear, nobody can say for certain how the market will perform in the near future. But that uncertainty can make it even more daunting to invest right now.Is it still safe to invest when the stock market is volatile? Or should you hold off? It depends on a few factors. When it's smart to keep investingIn general, it's a good idea to continue investing regardless of what the market is doing. While it may seem counterintuitive to keep throwing money into your investments when they immediately drop in value, investing during periods of volatility can actually save you money over the long term. When the market is in a slump, stock prices are lower. This means stocks are essentially on sale, and it's a fantastic opportunity to load up on expensive companies for a fraction of the cost.If you only invest when the market is thriving, you're only buying stocks at their highest prices. Over decades, that can add up considerably, and you may end up spending much more overall than if you'd also invested during downturns. Also, keep in mind that no matter how far stock prices fall, you won't actually lose any money as long as you hold your investments. Your portfolio may drop in value in the short term. But when the market eventually rebounds, your investments will hopefully regain their value. When it's better to avoid investingStock market downturns can be smart buying opportunities, but there are some situations where it may be best to hold off on investing. For example, if you don't have an emergency fund, you may want to focus on that goal before you invest your spare cash.If you don't have an emergency fund and you face an unexpected expense, you may have no choice but to tap your investments. However, while downturns can be a good chance to buy, they're also one of the worst times to sell your investments. Because prices are lower, you could end up selling your stocks for a discount during a downturn, losing money in the process. Also, it's best to avoid investing any money you may need in the next several years. Nobody knows how long this downturn might last, and it can sometimes take months or even years for the market to fully recover from slumps. If you're investing money to, say, pay for the down payment on a house in a few months or a year, there's a chance that stock prices could fall further by the time you're ready to withdraw that money. If that happens, you may need to either sell your investments at a loss or postpone your financial goals until the market recovers.Surviving this stock market downturnNobody knows for certain how long this slump will last or how far stock prices will fall before they recover. But the market should rebound eventually. If your finances are in good shape and you have money to spare, investing when prices are lower could be a smart move. But if your savings are falling short or you expect to need your extra cash in the near future, it pays to focus on those goals first. The right move for you will depend on your unique situation. But by understanding all of your options, it will be easier to make the most of your money -- regardless of what happens with the market.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{".IXIC":0.9,".SPX":0.9,".DJI":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":2140,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9053299176,"gmtCreate":1654554526695,"gmtModify":1676535465222,"author":{"id":"4109667337433200","authorId":"4109667337433200","name":"pphyo","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/feaa9e5abbbe1704a9fc0fbd8f56d8e2","crmLevel":12,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"4109667337433200","idStr":"4109667337433200"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Ok","listText":"Ok","text":"Ok","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":2,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9053299176","repostId":"1149344387","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1149344387","kind":"news","weMediaInfo":{"introduction":"Providing stock market headlines, business news, financials and earnings ","home_visible":1,"media_name":"Tiger Newspress","id":"1079075236","head_image":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/8274c5b9d4c2852bfb1c4d6ce16c68ba"},"pubTimestamp":1654526668,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1149344387?lang=en_US&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2022-06-06 22:44","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Mega-cap Growth Stocks Gained in Morning Trading","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1149344387","media":"Tiger Newspress","summary":"Apple, Tesla, Microsoft, Amazon, Nvidia, Alphabet and Meta Platforms jumped between 1% and 5%.","content":"

Apple, Tesla, Microsoft, Amazon, Nvidia, Alphabet and Meta Platforms jumped between 1% and 5%.

","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n<meta http-equiv=\"Content-Type\" content=\"text/html; The iShares S&P 500 Growth Pacer Swan SOS Fund of Funds ETF|ETF has fallen a staggering 26% this year. But the dark clouds hanging over the market are lined with silver for patient investors who stick with terrific businesses like Roku, SoFi Technologies, and Matterport. That's because a stock market scorned for growth stocks in general has driven shares of these former market darlings down to prices they can easily bounce back from.RokuRoku shares are down about 80% from the peak they reached last summer. Analysts on Wall Street who follow the company expect a swift rebound. The average price target for Roku represents a 70% premium over recent prices. Now that the stay-at-home orders meant to blunt the spread of the coronavirus are no longer in play, Roku stock has lost a lot of its luster. The stock's dive isn't due to poor performance. First-quarter revenue soared 28% year over year. That's especially impressive because at the beginning of the previous-year period, hardly anyone had been vaccinated yet.Roku added 1.1 million accounts in the first quarter and ended March with 61.3 million in total. As more advertisers shift their budgets away from linear broadcasting and toward ad-supported video-on-demand (AVOD), those accounts are becoming more valuable. On a trailing-12-month basis, average revenue soared 34% year over year to $42.91 per user. You need a streaming stick or a Roku-enabled television to be an active user, so the company tries to encourage their uptake by keeping these devices relatively inexpensive. Supply chain shortages are leading to losses from the manufacturing side of Roku's operation, but this is most likely a temporary problem. As a practice, targeted advertising on connected televisions is still in its early days. The investments Roku is making to gain a leading share of the AVOD market could pay off many times over for patient shareholders.SoFi TechnologiesSoFi shares rocketed higher after the company's stock market debut in late 2020. Unfortunately, it has fallen about 70% from last year's high-water mark.Analysts who keep tabs on SoFi think the up-and-coming consumer-focused bank can regain some of those losses. The consensus price target for SoFi represents a 64% premium over its price now.Like many fintech stocks, SoFi has been under an unusual amount of pressure because nobody really knows if the company can succeed in a rising interest rate environment. Investors are also concerned about the ongoing student loan moratorium because SoFi cut its teeth refinancing student loans and this is still part of the company's overall operation. Thanks to the rapid growth and diversification of SoFi's revenue sources, the persistent student loan moratorium hardly makes a dent. In the first quarter, SoFi's total customer base shot up by 408,000 members to reach 3.9 million. The integrated application keeps encouraging customers to engage with multiple products including mortgages, credit cards, and retirement accounts. SoFi customers began using 689,000 new products in the first quarter, bringing the total up to 5.9 million. In addition to an expanding customer base, SoFi owns Galileo, which provides the financial industry's most popular tools for setting up new accounts and implementing payment systems. With multiple growth engines pushing it forward, investors who hold this stock could come out miles ahead over the long run.MatterportMatterport shares are down 84% from the high-water mark they set last fall. Wall Street analysts expect a rebound up ahead. The consensus target for this metaverse stock is 76% above recent prices.Matterport helps individuals and organizations create digital twins of real-world spaces, and its popularity is surging. The company finished the first quarter with 562,000 subscribers, which was 70% more than it had a year earlier.Matterport allows its lowest-tier subscribers to use their smartphones to make basic maps of their homes and offices for free. Now the company has 7.3 million spaces under management, which is many times more than all of its competitors combined. In the first quarter, Matterport signed a deal with Midland Holdings. This is a giant residential real estate broker in China that intends to create virtual 3D experiences for its entire portfolio of properties. It's probably just a matter of time before digital twins are a standard feature of real estate listings everywhere. With a commanding lead in this burgeoning industry, this stock has a chance to explode higher in the years to come.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"MTTR":0.9,"ROKU":0.9,"SOFI":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":3052,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9021975061,"gmtCreate":1653003601653,"gmtModify":1676535204238,"author":{"id":"4109667337433200","authorId":"4109667337433200","name":"pphyo","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/feaa9e5abbbe1704a9fc0fbd8f56d8e2","crmLevel":12,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"4109667337433200","idStr":"4109667337433200"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Good ","listText":"Good ","text":"Good","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":1,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9021975061","repostId":"2236087921","repostType":2,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":501,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9023542803,"gmtCreate":1652936599802,"gmtModify":1676535192812,"author":{"id":"4109667337433200","authorId":"4109667337433200","name":"pphyo","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/feaa9e5abbbe1704a9fc0fbd8f56d8e2","crmLevel":12,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"4109667337433200","idStr":"4109667337433200"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Ok","listText":"Ok","text":"Ok","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":2,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9023542803","repostId":"1146153998","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1146153998","kind":"news","weMediaInfo":{"introduction":"Providing stock market headlines, business news, financials and earnings ","home_visible":1,"media_name":"Tiger Newspress","id":"1079075236","head_image":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/8274c5b9d4c2852bfb1c4d6ce16c68ba"},"pubTimestamp":1652922707,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1146153998?lang=en_US&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2022-05-19 09:11","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Tiger Chart | Top 10 Stocks Held by Institutions By Mar 31st, 2022","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1146153998","media":"Tiger Newspress","summary":"Apple tops institutional holdings in the 1st quarter, followed by Microsoft and Amazon.Berkshire Hat","content":"

Apple tops institutional holdings in the 1st quarter, followed by Microsoft and Amazon.

Berkshire Hathaway ranks fourth, with its holdings increasing by nearly 405% QoQ.

","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n<meta http-equiv=\"Content-Type\" content=\"text/html; Despite a pandemic-driven crash in 2020 and the recent sell-off to start 2022, early investors in these top stocks are sitting on thousands of dollars in gains. But with RH and Netflix getting slammed by the market this year, are they still good stocks to buy? Let's have a look.RH data by YCharts.RHIt's difficult to imagine how a furniture company could turn $1,000 into $10,000 in less than 10 years, but that's the return RH delivered following its initial public offering in November 2012. At RH's all-time high last year, the value of that small investment would have been briefly worth $24,000. The recent drop in the share price could be a great opportunity to start a position in the fast-growing luxury furniture brand.RH is led by visionary CEO Gary Friedman. The company has expanded its luxurious furniture offerings to include a wide collection of solutions for different spaces, including RH Modern, RH Beach House, RH Ski House, RH Rugs, and more.Worries over supply-chain issues and inflationary costs have hit the stock hard. The shares are down 55% from their highs, but news of a three-for-one stock split and a better-than-expected earnings report at the end of March has investors feeling more upbeat.Indeed, RH reported a revenue increase of 11% year over year in the fiscal fourth quarter. That looks quite strong considering the economic headwinds. The Russia-Ukraine war is an additional headwind. The company cited some softening in demand to start the quarter in relation to that, but management's guidance still calls for revenue to grow between 7% and 8% in the first quarter.Investors don't have to pay much for growth. At a price-to-earnings ratio of 15, this growth retail stock is a great value at these levels. If the investment by Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway is any indication, RH still has many years of growth in store.NetflixIn 2012, Netflix was transitioning from DVD-by-mail to streaming. It launched its first original series House of Cards in early 2013. A $1,000 investment in early 2012 would be worth $23,000 even after the recent drop in the stock price.Wall Street has turned a cold shoulder to the leader in streaming after Netflix reported decelerating subscriber growth throughout 2021. Subscriber growth clocked in at 8.9% in the fourth quarter, which is a far cry from the 20%-plus rates it was posting through 2020.Still, Netflix is not done growing by a long shot. There are still plenty of connected TVs around the world without Netflix. The Motion Picture Association reported that the number of streaming subscribers globally grew 14% in 2021 to reach 1.3 billion. That is a nice tailwind for Netflix, sitting at 222 million subscribers. Ultimately, Netflix's vast library of content should help the service win more share of that massive global market.Streaming stocks are still attractive long-term investments. The iShares S&P 500 Growth Pacer Swan SOS Fund of Funds ETF|ETF has fallen a staggering 26% this year. With a commanding lead in this burgeoning industry, this stock has a chance to explode higher in the years to come.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"MTTR":0.9,"ROKU":0.9,"SOFI":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":3052,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9023542803,"gmtCreate":1652936599802,"gmtModify":1676535192812,"author":{"id":"4109667337433200","authorId":"4109667337433200","name":"pphyo","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/feaa9e5abbbe1704a9fc0fbd8f56d8e2","crmLevel":12,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"4109667337433200","authorIdStr":"4109667337433200"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Ok","listText":"Ok","text":"Ok","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":2,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9023542803","repostId":"1146153998","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1146153998","kind":"news","weMediaInfo":{"introduction":"Providing stock market headlines, business news, financials and earnings ","home_visible":1,"media_name":"Tiger Newspress","id":"1079075236","head_image":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/8274c5b9d4c2852bfb1c4d6ce16c68ba"},"pubTimestamp":1652922707,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1146153998?lang=en_US&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2022-05-19 09:11","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Tiger Chart | Top 10 Stocks Held by Institutions By Mar 31st, 2022","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1146153998","media":"Tiger Newspress","summary":"Apple tops institutional holdings in the 1st quarter, followed by Microsoft and Amazon.Berkshire Hat","content":"

And with Netflix shares trading at a price-to-earnings ratio of 32 -- a valuation that reflects its continued growth potential -- you might not find a better value in this space.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"NFLX":0.9,"BRK.B":0.78,"QNETCN":0.6,"BRK.A":0.78}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":669,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9053299176,"gmtCreate":1654554526695,"gmtModify":1676535465222,"author":{"id":"4109667337433200","authorId":"4109667337433200","name":"pphyo","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/feaa9e5abbbe1704a9fc0fbd8f56d8e2","crmLevel":12,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"4109667337433200","authorIdStr":"4109667337433200"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Ok","listText":"Ok","text":"Ok","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":2,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9053299176","repostId":"1149344387","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1149344387","kind":"news","weMediaInfo":{"introduction":"Providing stock market headlines, business news, financials and earnings ","home_visible":1,"media_name":"Tiger Newspress","id":"1079075236","head_image":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/8274c5b9d4c2852bfb1c4d6ce16c68ba"},"pubTimestamp":1654526668,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1149344387?lang=en_US&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2022-06-06 22:44","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Mega-cap Growth Stocks Gained in Morning Trading","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1149344387","media":"Tiger Newspress","summary":"Apple, Tesla, Microsoft, Amazon, Nvidia, Alphabet and Meta Platforms jumped between 1% and 5%.","content":"

Apple, Tesla, Microsoft, Amazon, Nvidia, Alphabet and Meta Platforms jumped between 1% and 5%.

","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n<meta http-equiv=\"Content-Type\" content=\"text/html; The Federal Reserve's recent 75-basis-point interest rate hike further aggravated the market's fears of an impending recession. But the company's steady growth makes it a top stock to buy on dips for the long term.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"ENPH":0.9,"TSLA":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":2482,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9049933047,"gmtCreate":1655734048689,"gmtModify":1676535694530,"author":{"id":"4109667337433200","authorId":"4109667337433200","name":"pphyo","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/feaa9e5abbbe1704a9fc0fbd8f56d8e2","crmLevel":12,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"4109667337433200","authorIdStr":"4109667337433200"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Ok","listText":"Ok","text":"Ok","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":0,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9049933047","repostId":"1162477566","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1162477566","kind":"news","pubTimestamp":1655709453,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1162477566?lang=en_US&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2022-06-20 15:17","market":"us","language":"en","title":"NIO Surges Over 9% in Hong Kong, Market Cap Back to HK$300 Billion","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1162477566","media":"CnEVPost","summary":"NIO's stores in Shanghai have returned to pre-Covid lockdown traffic levels, and top Chinese investm","content":"

NIO launched the ES7, the first SUV based on its NT 2.0 platform, and the 2022 ES6, EC6, and ES8 models on June 15. The S&P 500 is down 22% from its all-time high in January, and some investors worry a bear market could suggest a recession is right around the corner.To be clear, nobody can say for certain how the market will perform in the near future. But that uncertainty can make it even more daunting to invest right now.Is it still safe to invest when the stock market is volatile? Or should you hold off? It depends on a few factors.When it's smart to keep investingIn general, it's a good idea to continue investing regardless of what the market is doing. While it may seem counterintuitive to keep throwing money into your investments when they immediately drop in value, investing during periods of volatility can actually save you money over the long term.When the market is in a slump, stock prices are lower. This means stocks are essentially on sale, and it's a fantastic opportunity to load up on expensive companies for a fraction of the cost.If you only invest when the market is thriving, you're only buying stocks at their highest prices. Over decades, that can add up considerably, and you may end up spending much more overall than if you'd also invested during downturns.Also, keep in mind that no matter how far stock prices fall, you won't actually lose any money as long as you hold your investments. Your portfolio may drop in value in the short term. But when the market eventually rebounds, your investments will hopefully regain their value.When it's better to avoid investingStock market downturns can be smart buying opportunities, but there are some situations where it may be best to hold off on investing.For example, if you don't have an emergency fund, you may want to focus on that goal before you invest your spare cash.If you don't have an emergency fund and you face an unexpected expense, you may have no choice but to tap your investments. However, while downturns can be a good chance to buy, they're also one of the worst times to sell your investments. Because prices are lower, you could end up selling your stocks for a discount during a downturn, losing money in the process.Also, it's best to avoid investing any money you may need in the next several years. Nobody knows how long this downturn might last, and it can sometimes take months or even years for the market to fully recover from slumps.If you're investing money to, say, pay for the down payment on a house in a few months or a year, there's a chance that stock prices could fall further by the time you're ready to withdraw that money. If that happens, you may need to either sell your investments at a loss or postpone your financial goals until the market recovers.Surviving this stock market downturnNobody knows for certain how long this slump will last or how far stock prices will fall before they recover. But the market should rebound eventually.If your finances are in good shape and you have money to spare, investing when prices are lower could be a smart move. But if your savings are falling short or you expect to need your extra cash in the near future, it pays to focus on those goals first.The right move for you will depend on your unique situation. But by understanding all of your options, it will be easier to make the most of your money -- regardless of what happens with the market.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{".IXIC":0.9,".SPX":0.9,".DJI":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":2140,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9020444946,"gmtCreate":1652678645785,"gmtModify":1676535140007,"author":{"id":"4109667337433200","authorId":"4109667337433200","name":"pphyo","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/feaa9e5abbbe1704a9fc0fbd8f56d8e2","crmLevel":12,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"4109667337433200","authorIdStr":"4109667337433200"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Ok","listText":"Ok","text":"Ok","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":0,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9020444946","repostId":"9020445959","repostType":1,"repost":{"id":9020445959,"gmtCreate":1652678469171,"gmtModify":1676535139990,"author":{"id":"4109667337433200","authorId":"4109667337433200","name":"pphyo","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/feaa9e5abbbe1704a9fc0fbd8f56d8e2","crmLevel":12,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"4109667337433200","authorIdStr":"4109667337433200"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Market is down or up today ?","listText":"Market is down or up today ?","text":"Market is down or up today ?","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":0,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9020445959","isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":0,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":475,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9012294459,"gmtCreate":1649337343594,"gmtModify":1676534493568,"author":{"id":"4109667337433200","authorId":"4109667337433200","name":"pphyo","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/feaa9e5abbbe1704a9fc0fbd8f56d8e2","crmLevel":12,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"4109667337433200","authorIdStr":"4109667337433200"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"What can happen stock tonight .. up or down ?","listText":"What can happen stock tonight .. up or down ?","text":"What can happen stock tonight .. up or down ?","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":0,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9012294459","isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":782,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0}],"lives":[]}
