My best gain in 2024 was Amprius ($Amprius Technologies Operating Inc(AMPX)$ ) and I'm still holding because I expect it to go up again in 2025. They make lithium-silicon batteries that are better than the lithium-NMC batteries currently used in cars. There's lots of competition but no one else has posted better figures for how far you can go one one charge. The batteries also charge faster. They're currently selling batteries for drones and satelites and mobility equipment but intend to move into car batteries. They signed a bid deal this year with an undisclosed Global Fortune 500 maker of light electric vehicles i.e. electric bikes or motorcycles for $20m. They're not currently profitable as they have been building factories. They put
@LawrenceSG:$Grab Holdings(GRAB)$ It is time to buy grab. Cheap and safe as it did not dip prior the fed decision. Low cost and safe. It is my longest holding ticker as I had a free share in another account. FOMO when it dip previously, bought too many put n was unable to get rid of them. Bought calls. Sold calls for a small gain. Wasted time. Realized another account of mine have buy call without sell call as yet. Make extra $5? Ha3. Small win where regular trade make hude donations.
$Amprius Technologies Operating Inc(AMPX)$ Surprised but happy at the gain in the last few days. They're not doing anything new as far as I'm aware, only news is submitting a battery sample for tests.
$DE GREY MINING LTD(DEG.AU)$ Good price increase from the offer from Norther Star but I don't think it's high enough. $5bn sounds like a lot until you realise the pre tax project cashflow of $6.5bn is at a gold price of A$2700. You would have to think gold will drop 30+% or the asic will be above forecast to sell.
It amuses me that Jeffries price Palantir at $28. I looked at it when it was $40 and decided the price was too high and they obviously think the same. Is the price going down to fundamentals or will it take off again?
NVDA relies on a few big companies for income and all of them are developing their own chips. I think that NVDAs competitive advantage will disappear over the next year or two and margins will be squeezed.
@AI_Dig:Is NVIDIA Pricey? Wall Street: A Once-in-a-Lifetime Opportunity!
Neither. Work out what you want from life (happiness, wealth, knowledge etc) and then do what you need to get there. For some, investing is the right answer, but for others, education or family is more important than money.
