@koolgal:I opened 1.0 share(s) $Global X Nasdaq 100 Covered Call ETF(QYLD)$ ,๐๐๐I love collecting dividends and QYLD does this really well with a dividend yield of 12.02% paid monthly. In fact the fund manager Global X has been paying dividends every month for 11 years running. That is why QYLD is so popular with dividend investors. QYLD writes Call Options on the Nasdaq 100 Index, saving investors the time and potential expense of doing so individually. QYLD goes ex dividend on May 19 2025 with a payable date on May 27 2025. That is passive income for me. I am really looking forward to that! ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ฐ๐ฐ๐ฐ @Tiger_comments
Congrats. Best of luck. You got the Mias touch ๐๐ป
@koolgal:$YZJ Shipbldg SGD(BS6.SI)$ What an amazing turnaround for Yangzijiang today! It jumped 14% this morning due primarily to regulatory relief on the reduction of port fees. Initially US authorities were proposing to impose higher fees on vessels built in China. However the proposed higher port fees have since been reduced. Yangzijiang has also been buying back shares recently to boost its share price. In addition to that good news, Yangzijiang announced a final dividend of SGD 0.12 per share for its financial year ending December 31 2024. The current dividend yield is 5.29%. Yangzijiang will go ex dividend on May 5. How good is that! ๐ฅฐ๐ฅฐ๐ฅฐ๐๐๐๐ฐ๐ฐ๐ฐ @TigerC

@koolgal:๐๐๐In the midst of market volatility due to the new policies of the Trump Administration, it is not surprising that Gold is the new paradigm of safety. I am so happy that my investment in $iShares Gold Trust(IAU)$ has been on a upward momentum as a safe haven amid this volatility. @Tiger_comments @TigerStars @CaptainTiger @TigerClub
I wonโt go for any travel as it is a Holy Week for me. Just do my usual style of travelling: from home to shopping mall, to the library and to kopitiam ๐ However wishing all those who travel, a safe and enjoyable one ๐ฅฐ
@MHh:A strong SGD affects daily life as it helps to reduce importing inflation. A strong currency also allows us to get greater bang for the buck when we travel overseas especially to neighbouring Malaysia for grocery, shopping and food. It also helps us investors when we buy non-SG stocks like the US and HK stocks. I definitely will not put my market in fixed deposit as it cannot even match inflation. Investing through Tiger brokers or using Tiger vault is definitely the wiser option, especially in the longer run. @Universeๅฎๅฎ @Wayneqq @HelenJanet @Success88
The hardest thing to predict in the stock market is whether to buy or sell. Most of the local stocks are down so should I buy or will it go down further? So hard to predict! @Nick2862 @TigerWire But i do hope to predict correctly that tiger_wire will gibe me more coins for this comments
@koolgal:I opened 1.0 share(s) $Global X Nasdaq 100 Covered Call ETF(QYLD)$ ,๐๐๐QYLD has a laser focus on providing dividend income through a Covered Call Strategy in which it buys stocks in the Nasdaq 100 Index and "writes" or "sells" corresponding call options on the same index. The current dividend yield is 12.94%. The best part is that Dividends are paid every month. QYLD goes ex dividend on April 21. How good is that! ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ฐ๐ฐ๐ฐ @TigerClub @CaptainTiger @Tiger_comments @TigerStars &nb
@Terra Incognita:I opened 1 lot(s) $GILD 20250425 105.0 PUT$ ,GILD: collect 1.45% premium for this cash secured put with strike at $105 Contract expires in 4 weeks on 25th April. Strike is near recent low and should provide some support. Testing out new trade ideas with this one.
@Terra Incognita:I opened 1 lot(s) $PLTR 20250411 80.0 PUT$ ,PLTR: collect 3% premium for this cash secured put with strike at $80. Contract expires in 2 weeks in 11th April. PLTR seems to find temporary support at $80 and then $75. Willing to accumulate at this level so will start selling puts until assignment. Software based companies are more resilience against tariffs and most of PLTR revenues are from the government and US customers anyway so impact is minimal on coming Tariffs trade war.
@koolgal:I opened 1.0 share(s) $Global X Nasdaq 100 Covered Call ETF(QYLD)$ ,๐๐๐When the markets are down, QYLD brings me much comfort with its nice, juicy dividends paid every month. The current dividend yield is 12.1%. QYLD does this really well by using a Covered Call Strategy on the Nasdaq 100 Index which is normally the domain of big institutions and expert traders. In fact QYLD is a pioneer in this strategy. QYLD has been so successful that it has been paying dividends 11 years in a row. I certainly look forward to collecting my next dividend in April as QYLD goes ex dividend on April 21. How good is that! ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ฐ๐ฐ๐ฐ @CaptainTiger
