$Micron Technology(MU)$ The HBM story looks bigger than most people realize. Every time the market talks about ASIC growth, it is worth remembering one thing: it also means massive HBM demand. Each new generation requires more memory capacity. HBM already consumes roughly 3x the wafers per bit, and increasingly taller stacks only push demand higher. The market may still be underestimating the memory cycle that could unfold over the next several years. The coming 2027 ASIC expansion could become one of the biggest memory demand drivers yet. Patience matters — the real memory boom may still be ahead.
$Micron Technology(MU)$ $SK hynix(SKHY)$ DRAM.XEvery time the market talks about ASIC growth, the other side of the equation tends to get overlooked: HBM. More AI accelerators mean more demand for HBM. Each new generation increases cube counts, and HBM already requires significantly more wafers per bit compared to traditional memory. Higher stacks just amplify the pressure on supply. The market is still underestimating how big this memory cycle could become over the next 5 years. The 2027 ASIC boom may end up being one of the biggest memory demand catalysts. Patience will matter.
Key Support Battle — Will 790-800 Hold or Test YTD Lows? $Micron Technology(MU)$ is holding strong around the $790-$800 range. Breaking both lower trendlines would be crucial for any further downside to continue. While many semiconductor peers retested their YTD lows, Micron held up relatively well. A brief pullback to test this zone wouldn't be surprising, but holding here opens the door for a big bounce. Will 790-800 hold as the bottom?
$Micron Technology(MU)$ Billions upon billions of AI agents essentially means an ever-growing demand for billions upon billions of GB of memory going forward. Those who stayed long and saw the bigger picture through the noise are positioned well for this trend.
$Micron Technology(MU)$ It's pretty clear that MU is in high demand and has more years of growth ahead. It seems shorts are being pushed to sell at low prices, and from where I stand, this looks like a strong buying opportunity.
$Micron Technology(MU)$ The supply bottleneck isn't going away anytime soon. Even with new capacity coming online in late 2026 and 2027, the supply situation only keeps getting worse. By 2028 more supply enters, which might ease things a bit for consumer products, but certainly not for HBM. Right now CXMT is arguably selling inferior DRAM at higher prices than SK and Samsung. Micron has pretty much walked away from that side of the business to focus on HBM. So where does that leave DRAM? It's hard to imagine they'd want to go back to the boom-bust cycles. The business model likely keeps changing fundamentally over the next few years. Can CXMT catch up in HBM? They're generations behind at the moment, and any success would probably just get sold
$Micron Technology(MU)$ Nice consolidation around the $870s. Hopefully the rally keeps going and we see another big pop soon. Shorts might actually help push it past $1,000.
$Micron Technology(MU)$ Right now, it looks like software and hardware stocks are taking turns moving up and down — feels more like a market rotation play than anything company-specific. MU is fundamentally strong and growing, just need some patience here. The next leg up for hardware should come, and it could push much higher. There are some clear games being played in the market right now. Shorting as much as you can won't last long. I'm staying on course. The best is yet to come. Watch out for the next wave.
$Micron Technology(MU)$ Looking purely at EPS growth over the past 3.5 months, MU should be trading around $1,300 per share right now. But I guess some would rather follow Michael Burry because he was right once a long time ago and knows how to drill down into hot air.
$Micron Technology(MU)$ There's actually a way to filter out some of the bearish noise if you're on the web version — there's a settings cog on the right-hand side. I get that it can be useful to hear the bear case when things are deep green, but on days like these it can really wear on your mindset, so sometimes it's just better to tune it out.
$Micron Technology(MU)$ A few people on this board have made close to a million bucks in 18 months or less. They hardly ever show up for the daily guessing or predictions. No TA or anything like that was needed. It was simply noticing MU coming off its usual feast-and-famine cycle with a new product. Then as the gains piled up, adding a bit and ignoring the spam and the frequent undocumented crisis headlines. A once-in-a-lifetime rocket. Even now MU is in its strongest competitive position ever with no obstacles in sight. Owning this for 48 hours does not make you a long-term investor. Try holding for a few months.
