$Western Digital(WDC)$ Sentiment on this board has been swinging back and forth — bullish, then bearish, then bullish, and now bearish again.
$Western Digital(WDC)$ Are we really stuck here? I don't think so personally, but I'd like to hear how some more experienced traders and investors are reading this. Not looking for hype or baseless pessimism, just genuinely trying to get a better sense of things.
$Western Digital(WDC)$  The pullback since the June high has been pretty brutal. It almost feels like the stellar earnings from last quarter never happened, but they did. Guidance was even higher than expected, yet the stock price just isn't in sync with the forward guidance.
$Western Digital(WDC)$ Looks like a technical bounce to 475 could play out soon, maybe in the next couple of days, and then move higher from there. The drop into the close came on low volume. If it holds, there's a path back to 500-515 by next week. Volume, charts, and patterns matter here.
$SanDisk Corp.(SNDK)$ $Micron Technology(MU)$ $Western Digital(WDC)$  Market makers are incredibly patient. The whole idea seems to be to shake out retail and get them to sell, so they can pick up shares at cheaper prices. Shorts are just adding fuel to that. Honestly, if they flipped and started buying instead, it would be a win-win. A lot of CEOs have openly talked about securing long-term contracts and keep saying this is not just a cycle, that the boom is going to continue, but it feels like no one is really listening.
$Western Digital(WDC)$  Someone asked earlier why STX is up today while WDC is down, and whether they're basically the same company. Honestly, right now STX might just be operating relatively better. If you listen to the conference call, the very first question, and several after that, touched on this directly. But stepping back a bit helps. Over the last 2+ years, WDC took a different path on large HDDs. They developed and shipped SMR and ePMR large drives, while STX focused on getting HAMR to volume shipments. WDC's route was less risky and delivered quicker returns. STX has been working on HAMR for decades, going back to the Bill Watkins era. Through the 2020 to 2023 downturn, WDC looked like the safer bet, an
$Western Digital(WDC)$ It got smacked despite strong growth and stellar earnings. I think it'll eventually recover and make the manipulation look pretty foolish when the fundamentals are this solid. It's turning into both a value and growth story. My view is it's worth 750. Adding more to my position.
Did an iron condor on $Western Digital(WDC)$ , 420/425 500/505 for 0.93. Hoping it bleeds faster than AMD.
$Western Digital(WDC)$ The price has been channel-bound for a while now. It has tested the bottom support three times. Hopefully this is the last test of that level.
$Western Digital(WDC)$  $NuScale Power(SMR)$ They posted weak revenue and missed expectations, yet the stock still managed to trade higher. Honestly, I'm struggling to make sense of that.
$Western Digital(WDC)$ WDC is $40 billion behind STX in market cap. I'm honestly speechless. That implies a 25% jump in price just to catch up.
$Western Digital(WDC)$ I really don't understand how BSEM holds onto such a high market cap. They're burning cash every quarter, operating expenses keep eating up all their gross profit, and they remain deep in the red. RMTG is the complete opposite — healthy margins, and they're actually converting their peptide revenue into real earnings. The contrast between the two financial statements is night and day.
$NVIDIA(NVDA)$ I just started paying attention to this board, and honestly, there are a few accounts I’m already planning to mute. Most of what they post is just nonstop negativity and empty criticism with no real substance. If that sounds like you, I’ll be hitting mute soon. I recently bought into NVDA, and I have no doubt this will be a profitable investment in the coming months and years.
$Microsoft(MSFT)$ $SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust(SPY)$ $NVIDIA(NVDA)$ $Alphabet(GOOGL)$ I'm getting tired of hearing the Capex argument repeated over and over. It feels like some people just latch onto whatever narrative is being pushed and follow it without much independent thought, believing what they're told to believe.
$NVIDIA(NVDA)$ NVDA has strong support around the $200/$199 level. It remains the dominant player in AI, and the company has a substantial stock buyback program in place. Analysts maintain a consensus buy rating with high price targets.
$NVIDIA(NVDA)$  It's nice to know the stock is holding at $450.
$NVIDIA(NVDA)$ I don't need to post here every day. Honestly, I'm not focused on daily, weekly, or even monthly price swings. While the stock fluctuates, I'm always looking at the annual gains. The fact is, it's been up 11 out of the past 13 years. That's a point worth repeating.
$Western Digital(WDC)$  It's doing better than Micron on price, but not on earnings.
$Western Digital(WDC)$ Goldman Sachs raised their price target on Western Digital to $650 from $400.
US stocks opened higher, with chip stocks leading the gains. The Dow is up 0.11%, the S&P 500 is up 0.32%, and the Nasdaq is up 0.78%. $Western Digital(WDC)$  is up over 5%, $Broadcom(AVGO)$  gained 3.5% after its Apple deal extension to 2031, and $SanDisk Corp.(SNDK)$  is up 4%. Risk appetite looks strong, with semiconductors still driving the market.
