  • Huawei is banned in USA. So why allow Nvidia into China?  Banning Nvidia is the right move. Unless Nvidia make their chips in China using SMIC.  But even ban Nvidia,  there is still AMD and Intel.  At the very least put a 100% tariff on american/Taiwanese chips.  If USA want to sell in China they better use SMIC process.   The only reason Huawei is behind is because Nvidia eat all the sales.  Ban Nvidia,  give Huawei a chance and Huawei will catch up fast.  Huawei also have to compete with amd and Intel too, its too much competition and crippling Chinese chip industry.

Do you think the Chinese government will lift the guidance if Nvidia & AMD offer Chinese government a 15% cut from their sales too?

Only thing chinese govt is showing with this so-called "guidance" is that they have always and always will put politics over everything, imagine telling your companies to not use the most advanced chips available to them and settle for inferior tech for no good reason, thank God we don't have this rubbish mentality in SG govt
