Chinese Shares Close Mostly Higher, Led by Tech Stocks -- Market Talk

0726 GMT - Chinese shares ended mostly higher, with the Shanghai Composite Index flat at 3242.62. The Shenzhen Composite Index rose 0.25% and the ChiNext Price Index added 0.4%. Investors are focusing on cues relating to U.S. President Trump's China policy. Among major stocks, technology stocks led gains, with Luxshare Precision Industry rising 2.7% and Foxconn Industrial Internet adding 2.1%. Energy stocks were under pressure after Trump signaled the U.S. will boost crude production. PetroChina declined 1.4% and Sinopec dropped 1.6%. (tracy.qu@wsj.com)
