Xiaomi (HKG:1810) is facing criticism for alleged false advertising regarding its SU7 premium electric vehicle, Yicai Global reported Monday.
The uproar concerns the SU7's dual-vent carbon fiber hood, which users said could not be retrofitted after purchase despite promotional materials touting enhanced performance, the report said, citing a user complaint.
The hood also allegedly did not include air ducts, contrary to Xiaomi's claims, the report said.
Months ago, Xiaomi was embroiled in a controversy following a deadly car crash involving the same model, Yicai said.
