Spot silver breaks through $90 per ounce for first timeJan 14 (Reuters) - Spot silver XAG= jumped above the key $90 an ounce level for the first time as soft U.S. inflation data cemented interest rate cut bets by the U.S. Federal Reserve on the back of geopolitical tensions, robust industrial and investment demand and tightening inventories.
Silver prices rose more than 3% to $90 per ounce by 0308 GMT.
