Singapore Airlines Backing Air India Despite Financial Burden

Singapore Airlines' (SGX:C6L) 25.1% stake in Air India remains a pillar of its multi-hub strategy, granting it direct access to India's market, the airline company told investors in its responses to questions from the Securities Investors Association (Singapore).
Shares of the company were up nearly 2% in Monday trading.
The Indian air carrier recorded a share of losses from Air India of around SG$945.2 million in fiscal 2026, with investment value following to SG$1.13 billion, according to a company release on Friday.
The company is working with Tata Sons to support Air India's transformation.
