Trump: Hochul sides with Canada, urges vote for Blakeman

U.S. President Donald Trump on August 28 posted on social media platform X, accusing New York Governor Kathy Hochul of being "stupid" and on the side of Canada, which he said has been "ripping us off for decades on Trade and Tariffs."

"Stupid Governor Kathy Hochul, who doesn't care about New York State, has announced that she is on the side of Canada, which has been ripping us off for decades on Trade and Tariffs, with a specific target of Hochul and her State," Trump wrote. He criticized Hochul for opposing the use of the name "Lake America" and preferring Canada to win.

Trump further said Hochul "allows other Countries and States to take advantage of New York, which gets treated like 'garbage.'" He then endorsed Bruce Blakeman for governor, calling him an "animal" who "fights like hell" and will lower taxes and stop crime. Trump concluded his post with a call to vote for Blakeman.
