Trump: Grass linking WWII Monument and Reflecting Pool vandalized

U.S. President Donald Trump posted on social media platform X on August 30, accusing vandals of damaging the grass connecting the World War II Monument and the Reflecting Pool, stating that the pool will be reopened shortly and better than ever.

Trump wrote: "Look what VANDALS did to the grass connecting the vandalized World War II Monument and the vandalized Reflecting Pool, which will be opened again, and better than ever, shortly. Anybody who thinks the Reflecting Pool wasn’t vandalized should go back to Law School!"

The president added that the grass will be replaced shortly, and the Reflecting Pool is almost completely fixed, including the various inflow and outflow pipes, which were originally scheduled for the end of the year but are now being done. The post was signed "President DONALD J. TRUMP."
