President Donald Trump on September 1 posted on X to endorse Dan Green, a candidate for Florida’s 9th Congressional District, calling him an “America First Patriot.” Trump highlighted Green’s background as a U.S. Navy veteran and a former presidential appointee in his first administration.
In the post, Trump criticized the incumbent, Darren Soto, for voting against “NO TAX ON TIPS, NO TAX ON OVERTIME, and NO TAX ON SOCIAL SECURITY,” and accused Soto of supporting massive tax increases, open borders, men playing in women’s sports, and transgender policies. “Darren Soto is Reckless, Radical, and Dangerous!” Trump wrote.
Conversely, Trump pledged that Green would work to grow the economy, cut taxes and regulations, promote Made in the U.S.A., champion American energy dominance, secure the border, stop migrant crime, strengthen the military and veterans, and defend the Second Amendment. Trump concluded: “Dan Green has my Complete and Total Endorsement to be the next Representative from Florida’s 9th Congressional District — HE WILL NEVER LET YOU DOWN!”
