President Donald Trump on September 3 criticized the Missouri Supreme Court's ruling on redrawing congressional maps, calling it "ridiculous, horrible, and unconstitutional" in a post on X.
Trump argued that the court's decision to revert to an older map is "Ancient History" and that, according to legal scholars, there is insufficient time to change the map before the upcoming election. "The Election Process, as usual, is being disturbed in America!" he wrote. Trump demanded that Missouri be allowed to use the map that was in effect just a few months ago in the primary, calling the ruling "a Dark Day for 'Justice' in Missouri."
Key quote: "The problem is, according to Legal Scholars, that not only was the ruling horrible, ridiculous, and unConstitutional, but there won’t be enough time to change the map back with the Election coming up in a very short period of time."
