President Donald Trump announced on September 1 via social media platform X that he is endorsing America First Patriot Dan Green, a candidate for Florida's 9th Congressional District. Green is a U.S. Navy veteran and a former presidential appointee in Trump's first administration.
Trump praised Green, stating, "Dan knows the Wisdom and Courage it takes to Ensure LAW AND ORDER, Strongly Support our Great Heroes in Law Enforcement, and Champion our Military and Veterans." He also sharply criticized incumbent Representative Darren Soto, accusing him of voting against "NO TAX ON TIPS, NO TAX ON OVERTIME, and NO TAX ON SOCIAL SECURITY" and labeling Soto as favoring "massive Tax Increases, Open Borders, Men playing in Women’s Sports, and Transgender for Everybody." Trump called Soto "Reckless, Radical, and Dangerous."
Trump outlined that if elected, Green would "Grow the Economy, Cut Taxes and Regulations, Promote MADE IN THE U.S.A., Champion American Energy DOMINANCE, Keep our Border SECURE, Stop Migrant Crime, Strengthen our Great Military/Veterans, and Defend our always under siege Second Amendment." He concluded, "Dan Green has my Complete and Total Endorsement to be the next Representative from Florida’s 9th Congressional District — HE WILL NEVER LET YOU DOWN!"
