President Donald Trump announced on September 1 that he is endorsing Ryan Elijah, a former news anchor, for the U.S. House seat representing Florida's 7th Congressional District. Trump called Elijah an "America First Patriot" and praised him for having the "Wisdom and Courage required to confront the Corrupt Fake News."
Trump also sharply criticized Elijah's opponent, Bale Dalton, a Democrat, accusing him of opposing "NO TAX ON TIPS, NO TAX ON OVERTIME, and NO TAX ON SOCIAL SECURITY" and claiming that Dalton supports "massive Tax Increases, Open Borders, Men playing in Women’s Sports, and Transgender Mutilization of your Children." Trump described Dalton as "Reckless, Radical, and Dangerous."
According to Trump, Elijah will fight to "Grow our Economy, Cut Taxes and Regulations, Unleash American Energy DOMINANCE, Promote MADE IN THE U.S.A., Strengthen our Brave Military/Veterans, Keep our Border SECURE, Safeguard our Elections, and Protect our always under siege Second Amendment." Trump concluded: "Ryan Elijah has my Complete and Total Endorsement to be the next Representative from Florida’s 7th Congressional District — HE WILL NEVER LET YOU DOWN!"
