President Donald Trump announced on social media platform X on September 1 that he has authorized $13.2 million and $7.3 million in federal funds to help Kansas recover from two severe storms that struck the state this summer.

In a post, Trump said he informed Senator Roger Marshall, whom he has given his "Complete and Total Endorsement," of the grants. The funds are intended to assist the "wonderful people of Kansas" recover from the two storms, which brought high winds, tornadoes, and flooding. The president signed the post as "President Donald J. Trump."
