President Donald Trump announced on September 1 that he has approved $3.4 million in federal funding for severe storms, winds, tornadoes, and flooding in South Dakota, and an additional $1.7 million for the Oglala Sioux Tribe.
In a post on social media platform X, Trump said he spoke with South Dakota Governor Larry Rhoden and informed him of the approval. "I just spoke with Governor Larry Rhoden, of the Great State of South Dakota, and informed him that I am approving 3.4 Million Dollars for severe storms, winds, tornadoes, and flooding," Trump wrote. "I am also granting 1.7 Million Dollars to the Oglala Sioux Tribe for severe storms, tornadoes, and flooding — I have asked the Governor to so inform the Tribe."
Trump concluded the post by stating: "South Dakota is a special place, which I won by Historic Margins, three times, and I will always deliver BIG for them! President DONALD J. TRUMP."
