President Donald Trump on September 1 publicly endorsed Zach Lahn for governor of Iowa on social media platform X, calling him an “America First Patriot” and a “tremendous Candidate.” Trump stated that Lahn, a sixth-generation Iowan and successful businessman, understands the “America First” policies needed to grow the economy, create great jobs, cut taxes and regulations, promote “Made in the U.S.A.,” and unleash American energy dominance. As a family farmer, Lahn is an effective voice for Iowa agriculture, farmers, ranchers, and the goal of making America healthy again.
Trump wrote: “Zach Lahn has my Complete and Total Endorsement to be the next Governor of Iowa — HE WILL NEVER LET YOU DOWN!” He added that Lahn would work tirelessly to safeguard elections, secure the border, stop migrant crime, ensure law and order, strengthen the military and veterans, and protect the Second Amendment. Trump also noted his own electoral success in Iowa, saying he “WON BIG in 2016, 2020, and 2024.”
