President Donald Trump announced on social media platform X on August 31 that the U.S. Supreme Court has ruled in favor of the Ballroom/Military Complex being built in Washington, D.C., stating that the project will proceed without any further contingency, doubt, or threat. Trump said the United States is living in the "Golden Age of America" and that the building will be "one of the Greatest ever constructed in Washington, D.C." He added that the complex, scheduled for completion in the summer of 2028, will be something the entire country is proud of.
Trump noted that despite a "baseless lawsuit" filed by the so-called National Trust for Historic Preservation of the United States—which he emphasized is not affiliated with the U.S. government—the project is under budget and ahead of schedule. He stated that the ballroom is "totally funded by Great Patriots and Corporations" and therefore is a "Gift" at no cost to the American taxpayer.
In his post, Trump wrote: "I am pleased to report that the United States Supreme Court has just ruled in favor of the Ballroom/Military Complex being built without any further contingency, doubt, or threat."
