Nissan (TYO:7201) will lead a 3 million-pound sterling UK Government-backed research project with the Warwick Manufacturing Group to develop city-ready autonomous mobility services, according to a Monday statement.
The "ADventure" project will launch in Cambridge using a 2022 Nissan LEAF to test self-driving passenger services in real-world urban environments.
Engineers at Nissan Technical Centre Europe will lead the collaboration, with Cambridge as the first trial site.
