Hong Kong stocks opened slightly higher on Monday as investors weighed rising oil prices and expectations for further interest-rate increases amid continued uncertainty over U.S.-Iran talks.
The Hang Seng Index edged up 0.2%, or 44.49 points, to open at 24,554.58, while the Hang Seng China Enterprises Index gained 0.4%, or 29.65 points, to 8,195.43.

Markets priced a 66% chance of another Federal Reserve rate hike in October.
Investors were also bracing for a busy week of U.S. economic data, including inflation, GDP, manufacturing and jobs figures, with the September payrolls report due Friday.
