SK Hynix's (KRX:000660) overseas subsidiary Solidigm is considering a U.S. initial public offering in 2027, with talks underway with potential advisers for a listing of the NAND memory unit, Bloomberg News reported Saturday, citing people familiar with the matter.
The IPO could value Solidigm at up to $100 billion, although the timing and valuation could change. Solidigm was established in 2021 after SK Hynix acquired Intel's flash-memory business and renamed it, the report said.
Solidigm said it was reviewing various options to strengthen its business competitiveness, but no specific plans have been confirmed at this time, according to the report.
SK Hynix did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
Shares of SK Hynix fell nearly 3% in recent trade.
