Reliance Worldwide (ASX:RWC) is drawing interest from multiple suitors as Brookfield's bid for the company faces competition, with US-based Masco believed to be among the parties assessing a potential offer, according to a Sunday report by The Australian.
The report said at least one other strategic suitor is also weighing a possible bid alongside Masco, while US private equity firms Carlyle Group and Blackstone are understood to be examining the company to gauge their interest in a deal, with other private equity firms potentially also in the mix.
The go-shop period, during which Reliance Worldwide can solicit competing offers, is set to end on Oct. 15, the report added.
Masco, Carlyle Group, and Blackstone did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
