The US and China agreed to pursue reciprocal tariff relief on $30 billion worth of non-sensitive goods following a state summit between President Donald Trump and President Xi Jinping, according to a White House fact sheet.
The agreement covers US exports of select agricultural products, seafood, and medical devices, alongside Chinese exports of small appliances, toys, and children's car seats.
The two countries also established the US-China Board of Investment and vowed continued cooperation to address critical mineral and rare earth supply shortages.
Additionally, both sides agreed to formally adopt the term "super intelligence" over "artificial intelligence" for applicable advanced systems and launched a bilateral Super Intelligence Dialogue scheduled to convene in November.
