In particular, she's worried about a slowdown in the growth rate for the App Store.</p><p>While Huberty maintains her Overweight rating on <a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/AAPL\">Apple</a> stock and $195 target price, she warns that her 15% growth forecast for June quarter App Store revenue growth could prove substantially too high.</p><p>Citing data from research firm Sensor Tower, which monitors App Store activity, Huberty reports that year-over-year net revenue growth from the store in May decelerated to 4%, from 8% in April. For the quarter to date, she estimates, App Store revenue has grown only 6%.</p><p>Huberty finds that App Store performance was weaker than expected "across the board," with deceleration in all markets other than the U.S., where 7% growth was flat with April. She notes that China, which accounted for 26% of App Store revenue on a trailing-12-months basis, decelerated to 3% growth in May, from 11% in April.</p><p>Huberty also reports that while overall downloads were up 5% in May from a year ago, revenue per download was down 1% -- Huberty contends that is the first App Store monetization decline in two years, "which is a more bearish near-term read for App Store growth."</p><p>Huberty posits that a deceleration in App Store growth "likely points to fading consumer spending" on goods and services that accelerated during the pandemic. "While we are bullish on the longer-term App Store and Services outlook, a deceleration in App Store growth (and monetization) could be a near-term headwind to results," she writes.</p><p>Note that Apple does not break out App Store or other services business in reporting financial results. In the March quarter, Apple had overall services revenue of $19.8 billion, which was up 17.3% from a year earlier. The company's revenue rose 64% year over year to $2.9 billion, which beat analysts' estimates by $40 million. Its adjusted net loss, which excludes stock-based compensation, widened from $320 million to $445 million, or $0.80 per share, but still exceeded analysts' expectations by $0.60.</p><p>Its adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) came in at negative $510 million, compared to positive $88 million a year ago. On a generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) basis, its net loss widened from $442 million to $580 million.</p><p>Sea's stock price popped after the report but remains down more than 60% this year. Should investors expect that rebound to continue?</p><h2>Shopee is still growing like a weed</h2><p>Sea's e-commerce revenue, which comes from its online marketplace Shopee, rose 64% year over year to $1.5 billion. Its gross merchandise volume (GMV) increased 39% to $17.4 billion as its gross orders soared 71% to 1.9 billion.</p><p>All three growth rates decelerated, but they were still impressive, compared to its triple-digit growth rates a year ago:</p><table border=\"1\" width=\"591\"><colgroup></colgroup><tbody><tr valign=\"TOP\"><th width=\"117\"><p>Growth (YOY)</p></th><th width=\"76\"><p>Q1 2021</p></th><th width=\"75\"><p>Q2 2021</p></th><th width=\"80\"><p>Q3 2021</p></th><th width=\"79\"><p>Q4 2021</p></th><th width=\"78\"><p>Q1 2022</p></th></tr><tr valign=\"TOP\"><td width=\"117\"><p><b>Revenue</b></p></td><td width=\"76\"><p>250%</p></td><td width=\"75\"><p>161%</p></td><td width=\"80\"><p>134%</p></td><td width=\"79\"><p>89%</p></td><td width=\"78\"><p>64%</p></td></tr><tr valign=\"TOP\"><td width=\"117\"><p><b>GMV</b></p></td><td width=\"76\"><p>103%</p></td><td width=\"75\"><p>88%</p></td><td width=\"80\"><p>81%</p></td><td width=\"79\"><p>53%</p></td><td width=\"78\"><p>39%</p></td></tr><tr valign=\"TOP\"><td width=\"117\"><p><b>Gross orders</b></p></td><td width=\"76\"><p>153%</p></td><td width=\"75\"><p>127%</p></td><td width=\"80\"><p>123%</p></td><td width=\"79\"><p>90%</p></td><td width=\"78\"><p>71%</p></td></tr></tbody></table><p>Data source: Sea Limited. YOY = year over year.</p><p>However, the segment's adjusted EBITDA loss still widened from $413 million to $743 million, while Shopee's adjusted EBITDA loss per order widened from $0.38 to $0.40.</p><p>Sea mainly attributed those widening losses to its headquarters' common expenses (HQ costs), which are essentially the operating expenses it incurs from expanding its workforce, building new facilities, and using cloud hosting services.</p><p>Excluding those HQ costs, Shopee only incurred an adjusted EBITDA loss of $0.04 per order in its core markets (Southeast Asia and Taiwan), compared to $0.12 a year ago. Its adjusted EBITDA loss of $1.52 per order in Brazil also represented a 45% improvement from last year.</p><p>Based on those improvements, Sea believes Shopee can achieve a positive adjusted EBITDA this year <i>after</i> excluding HQ costs. However, its adjusted EBITDA will likely stay in the red after including those expenses.</p><p>For the full year, Sea expects its e-commerce revenue to rise about 72%, compared to the segment's 136% growth in 2021.</p><h2>Garena's growth continues to cool off</h2><p>Sea's digital-entertainment revenue, which comes from its video game publisher Garena, rose 45% year over year to $1.1 billion. However, its bookings -- which more accurately reflect the underlying growth of video game companies -- declined 27% to $0.8 billion. Its quarterly active users (QAUs) also fell 5% to 615.9 million as its quarterly paying users (QPUs) dropped 23% to 61.4 million.</p><p>Garena's growth cooled off as its top game <i>Free Fire</i> -- which launched in 2017 and became the world's most downloaded game in 2019, 2020, and 2021, according to App Annie -- gradually lost its momentum. The game was also unexpectedly banned in India earlier this year.</p><table border=\"1\" width=\"591\"><colgroup></colgroup><tbody><tr valign=\"TOP\"><th width=\"117\"><p>Growth (YOY)</p></th><th width=\"76\"><p>Q1 2021</p></th><th width=\"75\"><p>Q2 2021</p></th><th width=\"80\"><p>Q3 2021</p></th><th width=\"79\"><p>Q4 2021</p></th><th width=\"78\"><p>Q1 2022</p></th></tr><tr valign=\"TOP\"><td width=\"117\"><p>Revenue</p></td><td width=\"76\"><p>111%</p></td><td width=\"75\"><p>167%</p></td><td width=\"80\"><p>93%</p></td><td width=\"79\"><p>104%</p></td><td width=\"78\"><p>45%</p></td></tr><tr valign=\"TOP\"><td width=\"117\"><p>Bookings</p></td><td width=\"76\"><p>117%</p></td><td width=\"75\"><p>65%</p></td><td width=\"80\"><p>29%</p></td><td width=\"79\"><p>7%</p></td><td width=\"78\"><p>(27%)</p></td></tr><tr valign=\"TOP\"><td width=\"117\"><p>QAUs</p></td><td width=\"76\"><p>61%</p></td><td width=\"75\"><p>45%</p></td><td width=\"80\"><p>27%</p></td><td width=\"79\"><p>7%</p></td><td width=\"78\"><p>(5%)</p></td></tr><tr valign=\"TOP\"><td width=\"117\"><p>QPUs</p></td><td width=\"76\"><p>124%</p></td><td width=\"75\"><p>85%</p></td><td width=\"80\"><p>43%</p></td><td width=\"79\"><p>6%</p></td><td width=\"78\"><p>(23%)</p></td></tr></tbody></table><p>Data source: Sea Limited. YOY = year over year.</p><p><i>Free Fire's</i> slowdown is a bright red flag for Sea since it usually leverages Garena's profits to offset Shopee's losses. But in the first quarter, Garena's adjusted EBITDA fell 40% year over year to $413 million.</p><p>Sea didn't provide any guidance for Garena, but its slowdown will likely continue unless it aggressively rolls out new games, reverses its ban in India, and locks in new users with <i>Free Fire Ma</i>x, an upgraded version of the game for higher-end devices.</p><h2>The fintech segment's losses are stabilizing</h2><p>Lastly, Sea's oft-overlooked digital financial services segment, which houses its Sea Money payment platform and other fintech services, continues to grow. The segment's revenue surged 360% year over year to $236 million, as its adjusted EBITDA loss narrowed from $153 million to $125 million. Sea Money's QAUs increased 78% year over year to 49 million, and the total payment volume (TPV) of its mobile wallet jumped 49% to $5.1 billion.</p><p>Sea Money's ability to expand without racking up wider losses is encouraging, but this business probably won't achieve a positive adjusted EBITDA anytime soon.</p><h2>Sea needs to narrow its losses</h2><p>Analysts expect Sea's revenue to rise 35% to $13.5 billion this year, but they expect its adjusted EBITDA loss to widen from $594 million to $2.1 billion. Sea's stock might seem cheap at three times this year's sales, but investors probably won't pay a higher premium for the stock until it stabilizes Shopee's adjusted EBITDA losses after <i>including</i> its soaring HQ costs.</p><p>Until that happens, other e-commerce stocks like <b><a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/MELI\">MercadoLibre</a></b> -- which is growing at a similar rate as Sea but generating more stable profits -- will likely be better all-around investments.</p></body></html>","source":"fool_stock","collect":0,"html":"<!DOCTYPE html>\n<html>\n<head>\n<meta http-equiv=\"Content-Type\" content=\"text/html; charset=utf-8\" />\n<meta name=\"viewport\" content=\"width=device-width,initial-scale=1.0,minimum-scale=1.0,maximum-scale=1.0,user-scalable=no\"/>\n<meta name=\"format-detection\" content=\"telephone=no,email=no,address=no\" />\n<title>Is Sea Limited Stock a Buy Now?</title>\n<style type=\"text/css\">\na,abbr,acronym,address,applet,article,aside,audio,b,big,blockquote,body,canvas,caption,center,cite,code,dd,del,details,dfn,div,dl,dt,\nem,embed,fieldset,figcaption,figure,footer,form,h1,h2,h3,h4,h5,h6,header,hgroup,html,i,iframe,img,ins,kbd,label,legend,li,mark,menu,nav,\nobject,ol,output,p,pre,q,ruby,s,samp,section,small,span,strike,strong,sub,summary,sup,table,tbody,td,tfoot,th,thead,time,tr,tt,u,ul,var,video{ font:inherit;margin:0;padding:0;vertical-align:baseline;border:0 }\nbody{ font-size:16px; line-height:1.5; color:#999; background:transparent; }\n.wrapper{ overflow:hidden;word-break:break-all;padding:10px; }\nh1,h2{ font-weight:normal; line-height:1.35; margin-bottom:.6em; }\nh3,h4,h5,h6{ line-height:1.35; margin-bottom:1em; }\nh1{ font-size:24px; }\nh2{ font-size:20px; }\nh3{ font-size:18px; }\nh4{ font-size:16px; }\nh5{ font-size:14px; }\nh6{ font-size:12px; }\np,ul,ol,blockquote,dl,table{ margin:1.2em 0; }\nul,ol{ margin-left:2em; }\nul{ list-style:disc; }\nol{ list-style:decimal; }\nli,li p{ margin:10px 0;}\nimg{ max-width:100%;display:block;margin:0 auto 1em; }\nblockquote{ color:#B5B2B1; border-left:3px solid #aaa; padding:1em; }\nstrong,b{font-weight:bold;}\nem,i{font-style:italic;}\ntable{ width:100%;border-collapse:collapse;border-spacing:1px;margin:1em 0;font-size:.9em; }\nth,td{ padding:5px;text-align:left;border:1px solid #aaa; }\nth{ font-weight:bold;background:#5d5d5d; }\n.symbol-link{font-weight:bold;}\n/* header{ border-bottom:1px solid #494756; } */\n.title{ margin:0 0 8px;line-height:1.3;color:#ddd; }\n.meta {color:#5e5c6d;font-size:13px;margin:0 0 .5em; }\na{text-decoration:none; color:#2a4b87;}\n.meta .head { display: inline-block; overflow: hidden}\n.head .h-thumb { width: 30px; height: 30px; margin: 0; padding: 0; border-radius: 50%; float: left;}\n.head .h-content { margin: 0; padding: 0 0 0 9px; float: left;}\n.head .h-name {font-size: 13px; color: #eee; margin: 0;}\n.head .h-time {font-size: 11px; color: #7E829C; margin: 0;line-height: 11px;}\n.small {font-size: 12.5px; display: inline-block; transform: scale(0.9); -webkit-transform: scale(0.9); transform-origin: left; -webkit-transform-origin: left;}\n.smaller {font-size: 12.5px; display: inline-block; transform: scale(0.8); -webkit-transform: scale(0.8); transform-origin: left; -webkit-transform-origin: left;}\n.bt-text {font-size: 12px;margin: 1.5em 0 0 0}\n.bt-text p {margin: 0}\n</style>\n</head>\n<body>\n<div class=\"wrapper\">\n<header>\n<h2 class=\"title\">\nIs Sea Limited Stock a Buy Now?\n</h2>\n\n<h4 class=\"meta\">\n\n\n2022-05-19 22:47 GMT+8 <a href=https://www.fool.com/investing/2022/05/19/is-sea-limited-stock-a-buy-now/><strong>Motley Fool</strong></a>\n\n\n</h4>\n\n</header>\n<article>\n<div>\n<p>Sea Limited's stock surged 14% on May 17 after the Southeast Asian tech giant posted its first-quarter earnings report. However, its adjusted EBITDA will likely stay in the red after including those expenses. For the full year, Sea expects its e-commerce revenue to rise about 72%, compared to the segment's 136% growth in 2021.Garena's growth continues to cool offSea's digital-entertainment revenue, which comes from its video game publisher Garena, rose 45% year over year to $1.1 billion. However, its bookings -- which more accurately reflect the underlying growth of video game companies -- declined 27% to $0.8 billion. Its quarterly active users (QAUs) also fell 5% to 615.9 million as its quarterly paying users (QPUs) dropped 23% to 61.4 million.Garena's growth cooled off as its top game Free Fire -- which launched in 2017 and became the world's most downloaded game in 2019, 2020, and 2021, according to App Annie -- gradually lost its momentum. The game was also unexpectedly banned in India earlier this year.Growth (YOY)Q1 2021Q2 2021Q3 2021Q4 2021Q1 2022Revenue111%167%93%104%45%Bookings117%65%29%7%(27%)QAUs61%45%27%7%(5%)QPUs124%85%43%6%(23%)Data source: Sea Limited. YOY = year over year.Free Fire's slowdown is a bright red flag for Sea since it usually leverages Garena's profits to offset Shopee's losses. But in the first quarter, Garena's adjusted EBITDA fell 40% year over year to $413 million.Sea didn't provide any guidance for Garena, but its slowdown will likely continue unless it aggressively rolls out new games, reverses its ban in India, and locks in new users with Free Fire Max, an upgraded version of the game for higher-end devices. The fintech segment's losses are stabilizingLastly, Sea's oft-overlooked digital financial services segment, which houses its Sea Money payment platform and other fintech services, continues to grow. The segment's revenue surged 360% year over year to $236 million, as its adjusted EBITDA loss narrowed from $153 million to $125 million. Sea Money's QAUs increased 78% year over year to 49 million, and the total payment volume (TPV) of its mobile wallet jumped 49% to $5.1 billion.Sea Money's ability to expand without racking up wider losses is encouraging, but this business probably won't achieve a positive adjusted EBITDA anytime soon.Sea needs to narrow its lossesAnalysts expect Sea's revenue to rise 35% to $13.5 billion this year, but they expect its adjusted EBITDA loss to widen from $594 million to $2.1 billion. Sea's stock might seem cheap at three times this year's sales, but investors probably won't pay a higher premium for the stock until it stabilizes Shopee's adjusted EBITDA losses after including its soaring HQ costs.Until that happens, other e-commerce stocks like MercadoLibre -- which is growing at a similar rate as Sea but generating more stable profits -- will likely be better all-around investments.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":936,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9023606840,"gmtCreate":1652914210380,"gmtModify":1676535185254,"author":{"id":"3571448359169660","authorId":"3571448359169660","name":"PeterYC","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/9ef14f774a72b511343eb2acc028573c","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3571448359169660","authorIdStr":"3571448359169660"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"👍","listText":"👍","text":"👍","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":0,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9023606840","repostId":"1127206867","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1127206867","kind":"news","weMediaInfo":{"introduction":"Providing stock market headlines, business news, financials and earnings ","home_visible":1,"media_name":"Tiger Newspress","id":"1079075236","head_image":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/8274c5b9d4c2852bfb1c4d6ce16c68ba"},"pubTimestamp":1652881584,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1127206867?lang=&edition=full_marsco","pubTime":"2022-05-18 21:46","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Walmart Continued to Slide Nearly 4% in Morning Trading Following Its Own and Target's Financial Results","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1127206867","media":"Tiger Newspress","summary":"Walmart continued to slide nearly 4% in morning trading following its own and Target's financial res","content":"<html><head></head><body><p>Walmart continued to slide nearly 4% in morning trading following its own and Target's financial results.<img src=\"https://static.tigerbbs.com/6f640e1f44aa366be6a0a52dbe3a73ba\" tg-width=\"768\" tg-height=\"567\" width=\"100%\" height=\"auto\"/>It reported earnings per share (EPS) of $1.30, well below consensus estimates of $1.48 per share. Former high-flying growth stocks are especially getting pummeled.</p><p>However, analysts remain quite optimistic about some stocks. Here are three unstoppable stocks that could soar 58% to 97% over the next 12 months, according to Wall Street.</p><h2>1. <a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/ISRG\">Intuitive Surgical</a></h2><p>The consensus 12-month price target for <a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/ISRG\">Intuitive Surgical </a> reflects a 58% premium to the current share price. All the robotic surgical systems maker needs to do to hit that target is to return to where its stock traded in early January.</p><p>Intuitive Surgical has beaten analysts' expectations in both of its quarterly updates so far this year. However, the stock has fallen more than 40% primarily because of worries that growth will slow significantly.</p><p>CEO Gary Guthart acknowledged on Intuitive's recent first-quarter conference call, "We are challenged by environmental stresses, including regional waves of COVID, staffing pressure at hospitals, component and raw material availability, and logistic delays." He noted that "it's difficult to forecast how long these headwinds will persist."</p><p>But Wall Street analysts know that these challenges will only be temporary ones. The robotic surgical systems market continues to grow. Intuitive Surgical remains the clear leader in that market. It should be only a matter of time before the stock returns to its winning ways.</p><h2>2. <a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/NVDA\">Nvidia</a></h2><p>There's a similar story with <a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/NVDA\">Nvidia </a>. The average analyst price target is 82% higher than the chipmaker's current share price. Nvidia stock only needs to regain its levels from early December 2021 to nearly reach that target.</p><p>Much of Nvidia's share decline in recent months has been unrelated to the company's business performance. Instead, the overall slump for tech stocks has pulled Nvidia down in its wake.</p><p>Nvidia's revenue continues to increase robustly on nearly every front. The company is best known for its graphics processing units (GPUs) used in gaming apps. However, it probably won't be long before Nvidia's biggest revenue source is in the data center market.</p><p>The company also has excellent growth opportunities for its self-driving car technology and its Omniverse metaverse. Even with Nvidia's shares trading at more than 33 times expected earnings, Wall Street believes that there's plenty of room for this stock to run.</p><h2>3. <a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/TXG\">10x Genomics</a></h2><p>It's probably no coincidence that the stock on this list that has been beaten down the most is also the one that Wall Street is most bullish about. <a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/TXG\">10x Genomics</a> stock has plunged nearly 80% from its peak last summer. And the consensus price target for the stock is close to 97% above its current price.</p><p>Why has 10x Genomics stock fallen so much? The shift away from growth stocks certainly contributed to the decline. 10x also provided disappointing full-year 2022 revenue guidance earlier this year.</p><p>COVID-19 continues to weigh on 10x's growth. The company delayed the launch of several new products to focus more on developing its new Xenium platform for in situ tissue sequencing. But these aren't permanent issues for 10x Genomics.</p><p>Importantly, the company still expects to deliver full-year revenue growth in the ballpark of 24%. Over the long term, the demand for 10x Genomics' single-cell genomic sequencing technology should increase significantly.
