Lol dude is manipulating his own stock again. Double output to sell to non-existent customers? Sales have been falling around the world. I guess he has a shot of tricking trump into using taxpayer money to fund his next round of production.

Elon Musk Says Tesla to Double U.S. Vehicle Output Within Next Two Years

Elon Musk pledged to double Tesla's vehicle output in the U.S. within the next two years. The move, Musk said Tuesday, is "a function of the great policies of President Trump and his administration," as well as "an act of faith in America.". Trump, who was standing next to Musk at the time of the announcement, patted him on the back and said, "It's a big deal.". Tesla vehicles produced in the U.S. will include the Cybercab, a self-driving car with no steering wheel or pedals that is set to start production next year in Texas. Musk previously said the autonomous car is designed to operate as a robotaxi and could cost less than $30,000.Shares of the company edged higher about 0.2% in after-hours trading, though they have erased their post-election gains by falling more than 40% so far this year, dragged down by disappointing sales data and concerns over Musk's role in the Trump administration. This item is part of a Wall Street Journal live coverage event. Politics aside, the quality premium between a tesla and a byd is almost non-existent. Put the 2 flagships side by side and you cannot say objectively that the tesla is better anymore. Now, add on all the politics and nationalistic fevour of the chinese and you will see clearly that tesla is going to lose in it's only nett positive market left in the world. Meanwhile, fsd is not even gonna beat waymo, optimus is still an intern at the other end and dojo is a barely passable side quest. Tesla will die because elon is entrenched in the govt and giving himself lucrative contracts, but let's not pretend tesla isnt getting its ass handed to it in everything it's attempting.
