Netflix gained handily in Thursday’s trading but gave back some of those gains in after-hours trading. Netflix also managed to pull itself off a low tracing back seven weeks with this development. The biggest reason was a shift from CFRA, by way of analyst Ken Leon. Leon gave Netflix a double upgrade, going from Sell to Buy. Leon also offered a slew of reasons behind the move. He cited Netflix’s new ad-supported tier, which would represent new revenue streams in two directions. First, from advertising, and second, from pulling in subscribers who may not have been subscribers previously.Further, he cited the new move to end password sharing, and a slate of new programming options coming soon will also, as Leon puts it, “…benefit subscription and reduce churn.” With new seasons of “The Witcher” and “Squid Game” on tap, that’s a solid assessment. However, not every analyst is satisfied with Leon’s conclusions. Matthew Harrigan with Benchmark noted that Benchmark’s digital team considers Netflix’s ad-supported tier “…rushed, with unrealistic, above-peer pricing…and certainly limited testing.” Some might also express concern about Netflix’s lack of sports coverage, especially given recent moves in that direction from competitors. But Leon, for his part, notes that sports can be a “big loss leader” that may do more harm than good.Analysts are somewhat split over Netflix’s potential. Currently, analyst consensus calls Netflix a Moderate Buy. The stock’s average share price target of $303.04 gives it 4.09% upside potential.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":1127,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9925217348,"gmtCreate":1672031307085,"gmtModify":1676538624638,"author":{"id":"4102918097726070","authorId":"4102918097726070","name":"niboreel","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":3,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"4102918097726070","authorIdStr":"4102918097726070"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Thanks ","listText":"Thanks ","text":"Thanks","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":0,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9925217348","repostId":"1176553349","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":1199,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9922117133,"gmtCreate":1671716994722,"gmtModify":1676538580963,"author":{"id":"4102918097726070","authorId":"4102918097726070","name":"niboreel","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":3,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"4102918097726070","authorIdStr":"4102918097726070"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Thanks","listText":"Thanks","text":"Thanks","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":1,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9922117133","repostId":"1179312101","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1179312101","kind":"news","weMediaInfo":{"introduction":"Stock Market Quotes, Business News, Financial News, Trading Ideas, and Stock Research by Professionals","home_visible":0,"media_name":"Benzinga","id":"1052270027","head_image":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/d08bf7808052c0ca9deb4e944cae32aa"},"pubTimestamp":1671699997,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1179312101?lang=&edition=full_marsco","pubTime":"2022-12-22 17:06","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Tesla, Micron, CarMax And More: U.S. Stocks To Watch","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1179312101","media":"Benzinga","summary":"With US stock futures trading higher this morning on Wednesday, some of the stocks that may grab inv","content":"

With US stock futures trading higher this morning on Wednesday, some of the stocks that may grab investor focus today are as follows:

Wall Street expects CarMax, Inc. to report quarterly earnings at $0.72 per share on revenue of $7.42 billion before the opening bell. He will take the helm next year from founder and three-time CEO of the chain, Howard Schultz, whose current stint has seen Starbucks facing issues relating to labor relations, rising costs, and a slow rebound in China, its second-largest market. But to ease investor worries, the company just released fresh long-term growth targets, dubbed the Reinvention Plan, to outline a path to drive improved financial performance for the business. And shareholders have a lot to consider before getting excited. With a new outlook, is it time to buy this top restaurant stock? Let's take a closer look. Starbucks is reinventing the business Starbucks' new Reinvention Plan is targeting improved financial figures over the next three years, including same-store sales growth of 7% to 9%, revenue growth of 10% to 12%, and earnings-per-share growth of 15% to 20% annually through fiscal 2025. Compared to how these financial metrics fared over the past few years, the new targets would be a welcome upgrade. While it has long been considered a \"third place\" for customers to hang out besides work or at home, Starbucks is now focusing intensely on serving customers however they want to be served, increasing convenience and accessibility. And this perspective makes complete sense, given the changes brought on by the coronavirus pandemic. For example, the popularity of remote work setups resulted in consumers visiting Starbucks' locations less frequently but instead making bigger purchases. The Reinvention Plan aims to respond to this trend. Over the next three fiscal years, Starbucks will accelerate its global store-opening pace to 7% annually, up from 6% before, with a major push coming in the U.S. This also means enhancing the store footprint with new layouts like pickup only, delivery only, and drive-thru only to better penetrate existing markets. What's more, in response to ongoing unionization efforts across the country, Starbucks will invest heavily in fixing the experience for workers by increasing pay, improving benefits, and offering opportunities for career advancement. Starbucks will also upgrade its process to better handle order customization as consumers increasingly choose to make changes to their beverages. This has the negative effect of slowing down throughput within stores, a problem that is now being addressed. Internationally, the business will continue to lean on its licensing model to drive store growth while at the same time enhancing the digital ecosystem. And unsurprisingly, China, a coffee market that leadership says is still in its early stages, is a massive opportunity. Over the next three years, the expectation is for sales in the country to double, with the store count increasing by 50%. This all sounds good on paper, but any company can put together an intriguing presentation with lofty financial goals to please its shareholder base. The real question is whether or not the management team can execute. Ultimately, time will tell, but I'm optimistic because of how successful the company has been in the past. Moreover, it's a positive development to see the business paying attention to its customers' behavior and making the necessary shifts to cater to them. This should result in a bright future for Starbucks. What should investors do? Starbucks has been a solid investment in the past. Over the past decade, the stock produced a return of 257%, beating the total return of the S&P 500 during the same time. The introduction of the Reinvention Plan increases the likelihood that shares, which are currently trading for a price-to-earnings ratio of just under 25, can outperform over the next few years. This valuation is almost half as cheap as Starbucks' trailing-five-year average. From an investor's perspective, I think focusing on businesses that have powerful brands is a worthwhile endeavor. And it's hard to find many companies that top Starbucks when it comes to this attribute. Management has done a wonderful job at integrating technology to bolster Starbucks' connection with its customers while also amassing a treasure trove of data that helps inform key strategic decisions. As of July 3, the top-notch loyalty program counted 27.4 million 90-day active users, up 13% from the prior-year period. This has helped strengthen the brand in the past, and it will continue to in the years ahead. With shares down 24% in 2022, now might be a good time for long-term investors to buy Starbucks stock.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":1467,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9915116765,"gmtCreate":1664981625357,"gmtModify":1676537539090,"author":{"id":"4102918097726070","authorId":"4102918097726070","name":"niboreel","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":3,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"4102918097726070","authorIdStr":"4102918097726070"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Thanks ","listText":"Thanks ","text":"Thanks","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":0,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9915116765","repostId":"2273327868","repostType":2,"repost":{"id":"2273327868","kind":"highlight","pubTimestamp":1664959185,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/2273327868?lang=&edition=full_marsco","pubTime":"2022-10-05 16:39","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Bank Earnings Could Give Clues About a Downturn. The stock has had more positive momentum in the past 90 days, holding up better than its financial peers and the broader market.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":1323,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9911207839,"gmtCreate":1664204518621,"gmtModify":1676537409746,"author":{"id":"4102918097726070","authorId":"4102918097726070","name":"niboreel","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":3,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"4102918097726070","authorIdStr":"4102918097726070"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Nice","listText":"Nice","text":"Nice","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":1,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9911207839","repostId":"1175451411","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1175451411","kind":"news","weMediaInfo":{"introduction":"Providing stock market headlines, business news, financials and earnings ","home_visible":1,"media_name":"Tiger Newspress","id":"1079075236","head_image":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/8274c5b9d4c2852bfb1c4d6ce16c68ba"},"pubTimestamp":1664200253,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1175451411?lang=&edition=full_marsco","pubTime":"2022-09-26 21:50","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Grab Stock Jumps 3% in Morning Trading","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1175451411","media":"Tiger Newspress","summary":"Grab Sees No Big Layoffs Despite Weak Market","content":"

Grab, Southeast Asia's biggest ride-hailing and food delivery firm, does not envisage having to undertake mass layoffs as some rivals have done, and is selectively hiring, while reining in its financial service ambitions.

Grab stock jumps more than 3% in morning trading.

Chief operating officer Alex Hungate said that earlier in the year, Grab had been worried about a global recession and was "very careful and judicious about any hiring", and as a result, it had not got to the "desperate" point of a hiring freeze or mass layoffs.

"Around mid-year, we did some kind of specific reorganisations, but I know other companies have been doing mass layoffs, so we don't see ourselves in that category," Hungate, 56, told Reuters in his first interview since joining Singapore-based Grab Holdings Ltd in January.

The company was hiring for roles in data science, mapping technology and other specialised areas though every hire was a much bigger decision than it used to be, he said.

"You want to make sure that we're conserving capital. The company has sold 800 of the SUVs and installed two swapping stations in Norway, executives said.Qin said that experiment had given the seven-year-old start-up confidence that its EV offering was \"comprehensively ahead” of EVs from the likes of BMW, Mercedes and Volkswagen and ready to compete in their home market.Nio will roll out other models in Europe, including the ET7 and ET5 sedans, starting this year.\"It’s just like two runners on their tracks,\" Qin added. \"If you have a great lead, you just need to keep your own pace.\"Nearly all the buyers in Norway and more than half in China have opted for battery leasing, said Shen Fei, Nio's vice-president for power management.Nio sells the ES8 in Norway without a battery from the equivalent of just over $52,000.
