Tesla is set to release its Q4 2024 and full-year earnings report after the U.S. market closes on January 29, 2025 (Wednesday, ET).

Market expectations for Tesla’s Q4 performance:

  • 📌 Revenue: $27.15 billion (+7% YoY)

  • 📌 Adjusted Net Income: $2.661 billion (+7% YoY)

  • 📌 Adjusted EPS: $0.75

Earlier this month, Tesla announced its 2024 vehicle delivery data:

  • 🚗 Annual Deliveries: 1.79 million vehicles (below analyst estimates of 1.8 million).

  • 🚗 Q4 Deliveries: 496,000 vehicles (record high, but below the 512,000 expected).

With Tesla’s first-ever annual delivery decline, investors are closely watching for updates on 2025 delivery guidance, autonomous driving and AI advancements, and tariff impacts. Tesla has already confirmed plans to launch a lower-cost model ($5,000–$7,000 cheaper than Model 3/Y) and a refreshed Model Y in early 2025.

Morgan Stanley believes Tesla shares have significant upside as the company rolls out a fleet of autonomous cars, or robotaxis, that run on artificial intelligence.

Adam Jonas, Morgan Stanley's high-profile auto analyst and a TSLA bull, increased his Tesla stock price target to 430 from 400, keeping an overweight rating on the shares, which remain a "top pick" for the firm. The firm also sees a bull case in which Tesla’s stock could ultimately double to $800 per share. Tesla Q4 Preview: Can the EV King Be Trusted?

Very surprising result from the survey. What makes you all think that $TSLA will go up? We know they missed their delivery target already despite having an all-out strategy where they used every possible discount and incentive, which surely will have a negative impact on their profit margin.

The energy business is very volatile and I don’t see that it will save this quarter. Which leaves the carbon credits as the only rescue that Tesla has to pull off the profit as they are 100% margin. However, will they use up all, especially now they Fire, GM and the other OEM are successfully ramping up their own EV’s finally?

Would love to hear from others why they think Tesla is not only beating all expectations but will also give such positive guidelines that isn’t already been baked into an already extremely high P/E ratio!
