TACO for Musk? Nope... maybe MACO?
It would never be a TACO for Elon Musk, at most we can called it a MACO. Musk Always Cons Out, or maybe MABU (Musk Always Blows Up). I won't associate Elon Musk with Donald Trump's chicken little style. He is more pump and puffs. His faithful supporters called that vision. I called that "blowing his horns 😈". Yup, it's may not be true dishonesty, but let's called a spade a spade . He always over-promised and under-delivered.
Recently, his open fight with Trump has threw open problem with the US government procurement procedure.
The latest threats from Musk on SpaceX contract with NASA could accelerate alternative rocket development for other firms.
It is the same idea as how US government is pushing China to be a lot more innovative in its semiconductor's development.
Tesla has a serious image issue, with Elon Musk and his US administration role. Doesn't matter if that's over. What Elon Musk said and did was extremely damaging. Not only that, Tesla is simply not competitive with the Chinese made cars. Naturally, sales volume plummeted.
With his open fallout with Trump, his robotaxi project might face additional safety oversight by the US administration. Having less buyers of the cars doesn't help.
Elon Musk is an intelligent 🧠 being. I give him that. Who else on earth 🌎 takes more government money than him? Not Bill Gates. Not Warren Buffett. Not even Jeff Bezos. They all earned their keep via their products, services or investment acumen. Not one of them get filthy rich through US government's subsidies! But, that itself is clever. Very clever... That does not give him the right to do whatever he wants. That also doesn't allow him overspend and come demanding his board for giving him a lot more shares for free!
When autonomous vehicle becomes prevalent, like Warren Buffett said, Tesla will face the same competitive landscape as vehicular sales. It doesn't have a competitive moat, or maybe just a lame moat. You can say Warren Buffett has passed his prime. However, he has also been proven correct, so far... All the time...
