H1 2025. First time I ever try sell put strategy.

In theory sell put should be more "efficient" as

1) time decay is Ur friend. Closer to expiry date, the contract worth less.which is what U want

2) volatilities crush(iv crush) as the price of stock swing wildly, especially during Friday and opex and holiday eve, they will be your friend to burn the contract price

The only thing that this against sell put is news related to the stock (e.g accounting fraud, high profile resignation, crackdown etc)

Thanks to trump liberation day ,which caught every retailer off guard,  I got burnt hard and burnt out on the oklo, crashing from 75 to 45. The liberation day is so close to Feb opex week which I wasn't aware of.

Took a short break to restrategise.

1) only sell put on Thursday or Friday, especially opex power hr or whenever the stock has huge dump and give at least some buffer

2) take note of power hr ( usually 10, 11, 1,3,3:50)

3) if the decay take too long, just realised n take profit and observe again. Fee is merely  total usd1.5 sell and close

4) no longer wait for expiry. Its not worth to have Ur leverage locked for a thinned bone, go for juicy next week

Also diversify, try some fund to have exposure to certain market without having buy expensive shares that usually need lots of units MOQ.

not perfect and I'm still trying to program my emotions...

sell put is very capital intensive than buy options...but I sucks at buying...even for leap they are a quarter of what it was worth...
