I have been reflecting on this earnings season as it nears its close, and I would say I have cleared a fair number of hurdles. The scoreboard is nearly complete, and overall, I feel pretty good about how things turned out. It has been a rollercoaster, but I have managed to navigate some tricky moments, especially with stocks that showed unexpected strength or weakness.

One of the standout moments for me was the big gains I saw from Nebius $NEBIUS(NBIS)$  and Palantir $Palantir Technologies Inc.(PLTR)$  after their solid earnings reports. Watching those stocks climb following the news was incredibly satisfying, and it reinforced my confidence in picking companies with strong fundamentals and growth potential. Nebius surprised me with its resilience, while Palantir's performance, especially with its AI-driven momentum, lived up to my expectations and then some. Those wins have definitely boosted my portfolio this season.

On the flip side, I cannot ignore the experience of getting the direction completely wrong with C3.AI $C3.ai, Inc.(AI)$  . I took a huge sell-off hit there, which caught me off guard despite my initial optimism. It is a reminder that even with careful analysis, some bets do not pan out, and the market can shift in ways I did not anticipate. The drop stung, but it has taught me to stay nimble and reassess my positions when the data does not align with my outlook.

Looking back, I have learned to appreciate the importance of diversification a bit more. While Nebius and Palantir carried me to some impressive gains, the C3.AI sell-down showed me how reliant I can become on a few key picks. This season has pushed me to think about spreading my investments more evenly, so I am not as vulnerable to a single stock's downturn. It is a lesson I will carry forward into future strategies.

I also realized that timing plays a huge role in these outcomes. With Nebius and Palantir, jumping in before their earnings beats paid off handsomely, but with C3.AI, I misjudged the momentum and held on too long. This has made me more conscious of setting clear exit points and not letting hope override the numbers. It is a fine balance, but I am determined to get better at reading those signals.

The experience of getting it wrong with C3.AI has been humbling, but it has also sparked some curiosity about what went awry. Was it a misread of the market sentiment, or did I overlook some red flags in the financials? I am planning to dig deeper into that to refine my approach. Every loss is a chance to learn, and I am already thinking about how to avoid similar pitfalls next time.

As for lessons, I am taking away the value of staying adaptable. This earnings season showed me that even the best-laid plans can shift, and being able to pivot—whether it is locking in gains with Nebius and Palantir or cutting losses with C3.AI—is key. I feel more equipped now to handle the ups and downs, and I am excited to apply this newfound perspective as the next season approaches.

Overall, I am ending this earnings season with a mix of pride and caution. The wins from Nebius and Palantir have given me a solid foundation, while the C3.AI setback has sharpened my focus. I am looking forward to reflecting on these experiences further and building on them, knowing that each hurdle cleared or stumbled over is shaping me into a savvier investor.

As a retail investor, I focus mainly on the US and Singapore markets, combining a mix of technical trading and long-term investing strategies. I enjoy analyzing charts, spotting patterns, and making calculated moves based on both market sentiment and fundamentals.
