Wilmar's Indonesian Lawsuit Losses

@MilkTeaBro
Wilmar issued a warning after market close on September 25, 2025, announcing losses in Indonesian lawsuits. The final damage amount is yet to be determined. I believe the impact of these damages was already priced in. Wilmar's revenue and profits for the first half of 2025 increased year-on-year. However, the stock price still plunged due to the overhang of these Indonesian lawsuits. In my opinion, Wilmar hasn't necessarily done anything wrong. Operating in a developing country can be challenging, and businesses sometimes navigate "gray areas" to become established. This is a common practice; otherwise, companies risk falling behind their competitors. I'm fully mentally prepared for the impact of the Indonesian lawsuits. I bought a tranche of shares today and may add another if the price drops further. I plan to buy even more when the final amount of the damages is released. As a long-term Wilmar shareholder, I initiated my position at $4.20, near book value, and have continued to buy on dips. Despite today's 5% loss, I'm not significantly down overall. Dividend payments have offset some of the capital loss, and I've accumulated more shares. Wilmar is a Fortune 500 company with a significant presence in the China and India markets, providing essential food products like edible oil, rice, and sugar to a large portion of the world's population. $Wilmar Intl(F34.SI)$
