I’m not surprised Malaysia has overtaken Thailand as ASEAN’s top travel spot. From Kuala Lumpur’s buzz to Penang’s street food and Langkawi’s beaches, it’s convenient, affordable, and just a short trip from Singapore — perfect for a quick reset without long flights.

Thailand will always be a classic, but rising prices and a stronger baht are nudging travelers toward better-value destinations like Malaysia and Vietnam. Both offer rich culture, amazing food, and warm hospitality at lower costs.

For me, Singapore’s festive vibe is great, but when I want to truly switch off, I’d still choose Malaysia or Vietnam. A few days of exploring, relaxing, and eating well always does the trick. ✈️🇲🇾

Well I would choose Vietnam. And Phillipines has amazing places but good that other ASEAN countries don’t go there, so it’s not overcrowded
