HIMS and GRMN: Betting on the AI-First Health Stack
If I worked in healthcare, I would do 2 things:
1. Buy disruptive stocks like $Hims & Hers Health Inc.(HIMS)$ as a hedge
2. Figure out how I'm different/better than an AI
If you're not differentiated from what someone can get on ChatGPT today, you have no future in healthcare.
That's the reality.
THE MEDICAL INDUSTRY IS BEING DISRUPTED
In the U.S. alone, healthcare is a $5 trillion industry.
AI has the opportunity to rapidly:
1. Improve access
2. Incorporate more/better data
3. Improve efficacy of treatments
4. Lower costs dramatically
We all have stories of wasted time and money, poor diagnosis, and waste in the system.
What if all of your healthcare data -- weight readings from a smart scale, heart rate from a watch, oxygen levels, and more -- lived in a healthcare platform that could provide nutrition, exercise, and prescription suggestions for you?

I own HIMS on the thesis this could be the go-to platform for everything from meal planning (already in the app) to exercise plans to augmenting prescriptions like testosterone and peptides.
I own $Garmin(GRMN)$ because this is the human health data feed.
I'm looking for more opportunities for disruption in action (comment with your best idea).
I'm not talking about a better pharmacy or a better insurer.
Disruption is about replacing what we have today with something better.
Healthcare is one of the few "no-brainer" AI use cases I see, and ChatGPT is showing the path. I'm excited for a future with fewer doctor bills and faster, cheaper access to better healthcare.
