I’ve been watching the price action on AppLovin (APP), and it is clear that many investors just aren't “lovin” it right now as the share price has tumbled roughly 41% since hitting its all-time high of $745.61 just about three months ago in December. This ticker has faced a wave of disruptions that have shaken the confidence of even the most bullish traders, including the emergence of new AI-based competitors like CloudX and Alphabet’s Project Genie which some fear could outpace APP's own engine. On top of the competitive heat, we’ve had to digest a relentless barrage of short-seller reports alleging everything from accounting irregularities to extreme claims of "cooking the numbers" and even ties to offshore money laundering. To make matters more complicated, the regulatory overhang is real with the SEC and DOJ reportedly probing the company’s data-collection practices and platform integrity. Despite these "black box" concerns and the volatility that saw the stock shed 20% in a single day back in February, the business itself continues to report record margins and strong revenue growth. Now that the share price seems to have temporarily found its foothold around the 425 level, I am looking for some stability and hopefully a solid bounce back from here as the market separates the noise from the actual fundamentals.
