$VG 20260402 12.5 CALL$ New lesson learnt... That's what happened when I have not enough reserve to see this out... As tomorrow is Good Friday, option expiration has been brought forward. I was raising cash during the session but it was still not in time... as 🐯 broker, according to contract agreement, could liquidate the option any time on the last option trading day (in this case brought forward by a day). I was simply queuing to sell another holding to raise cash earlier into trading, so it was not in time... Having said that, I must appreciate 🐯 broker did wait till the end of trading day to liquidate my option. It is simply my fault. The order I mentioned above to raise cash is still in the queue, meaning it has not been fulfilled, so 🐯 has no choice but to liquidate my holding.
Good thing about this liquidation - I still make gain from this trade.
Bad thing is I could have made more as the liquidated price is obviously a lot lower than its underlying stock price. Furthermore, in the current war climate, $Venture Global, Inc.(VG)$ would benefit as a long term holding... So had wanted to convert to the principal but I should have switched to cash instead of holding off for more profits!
Lesson learnt... Hope is not too painful. Btw, I had a few days ago opened another option on $Venture Global, Inc.(VG)$ but at a higher price. Although gas prices have gone no where unlike oil, it's long term outlook after the war (whenever that is) is ever promising... so VG will have its day under the 🌞
